Yesterday I semi-liveblogged developments in the story of the shooting spree at Dawson College in Montreal by some Columbine copycat loser.

Now we know that he injured about 20 people, killed one, and then killed himself after police shot him in the arm. As I stated yesterday, I'm waiting for Michael Moore's "Bowling for Dawson" to be out next year, after the major point he tried to hammer home in his lying film (yeah there was one before F911), was that America is more violent than every other country, and that Canada was specifically some great model for us.

Aside from the mainstream news developments, bloggers have found this loser's blog and photo album. (h/t AllahPundit)

I don't even want to put any pictures of him and his gun on my page, you can check them out for yourselves. Anyway, regarding his blog and photo album, they are part of a community site called "VampireFreak.com". I'm just wondering how it never occurred to him that he has to be one of the biggest POSs to belong to a site by that name. Actually, I suppose he knew and that was his excuse for shooting at innocent students. I guess the logic goes like this: The realization that he's a total fag ---- Solution? ----> Go on a shooting rampage.

I'm actually, genuinely suprised that no one has come out to blame Marilyn Manson or the Matrix for this. This is obviously ridiculous, but it's bound to happen, especially sense he'd actually been listening to Manson that day. Again, I don't subscribe to that type of blame game, but it sure gives ammo (no pun intended) to those that do.

On second though, I do have to point out how odd it is that these types always seem to be Manson fans. As an advocate of personal responsibility, I certainly could never blame Manson for the behavior of these nuts but I think he should consider what he's doing and ask himself why it is that murderous psychos gravitate towards his music. If you look through, this guy actually listened to a LOT of Manson ("Music" is stamped at the end of each post). Here he actually calls Manson a god, here a personal hero, and here he pledges allegiance to him.

And I must mention this post, where he adds the results of some annoying online tests. He came out as having an 84% chance of going postal and 86% chance of killing.

Now for the icing on the cake. Ace noticed in fagboy's profile (cached here), under his dislikes, he lists "Republicans", "American Government", "Country Music", "Capitalism", anything related to Christianity, and much much more. Shocking, huh? Be sure to check out the list at Ace's post. This sort of contrast with one of his posts where he mentions eatting an apple pie... what's up with that? Patterico weighs in on the dislikes list as well.

Well, time to end this post now that I'm thoroughly annoyed by this loser. What a pathetic cliche he was. I mean, he constantly rants against "Jocks"! What are you a character in some bad teen movie? Loser. Couldn't you have just ODed so we would have never heard of you?

(h/t Drudge)

This is not a political story, or really important at all, but it gives me an excuse to tell you what I think about Myspace.

Here's the story via AP by way of Breitbart:

A 22-year-old woman was arrested after authorities say she tried to hire someone to kill another woman whose photo appeared on her boyfriend's MySpace.com Web page.

Heather Michelle Kane was booked Tuesday for investigation of conspiracy to commit murder, Mesa Detective Jerry Gissel said.

She was arrested after she met an undercover Mesa police detective at a grocery store, gave the officer $400 and offered to pay an additional $100 once the woman had been killed, according to court records.

The records say Kane gave the undercover officer photographs taken from her boyfriend's social networking Web page of the woman she wanted killed. She also requested a photo of the woman's dead body.

It wasn't clear if the boyfriend and the targeted woman were romantically involved, Gissel said.

As I said, I only post this so I can make my feelings known about MySpace. I've long had a particular saying I like to use that I think sums it up:

"MySpace is gay"

The conspiracy theorist in chief, Alex Jones, is currently featuring a link to one of MSNBC's ridiculous online polls on his Prison Planet site. The lefties, specifically Kos, regularly "freep" these polls in some pathetic effort to make trick themselves in to thinking that their thoughts and ideas place them in the majority. It appears that everyone's favorite "Truther" is employing the same technique by posting a link at the top of his page for all of his little sheep to follow over to manipulate the ridiculous poll.

As I'm typing the numbers are 50% who believe the government was involved, and only 37% don't, with the rest not sure. While it isn't necessary to sink to these pathetic levels, if you have 2 seconds to check a box and click "vote", you can counter a few of these clowns.

AllahPundit brought us this mp3 of a song by a group called Evolution Control Committe (ECC), which samples what seems like hundreds of Dan Rather soundbytes as well as AC/DC's "Back in Black". I thought, "You could make an awesome video to fit with this", but then I discovered someone already had, and it was on YouTube.

Note: There is clearly an anti-Bush administration tone throughout the video, but it's not overwhelming. Let's put it this way, I'd rather watch the video than read the NY Times. At least they they showed Clinton & Gore over the words "low ethics", but negativity towards President Bush and the administration pops up a number of times.

No word on if we'll be seeing chubby Katie or skinny Katie, but according to Drudge she's lined up some high profile friends to help get her off the ground. Such a task was thought to require a forklift. Oh snap! Just kidding, obviously she's not "fat", but I couldn't resist after CBS deliberately photoshopped her to make her appear skinny. Usually photoshopping your new anchor is a great trust earning move by a channel who is still embarassed after their last anchor left amid a fake document scandal.

BUSH, CLINTON, LIMBAUGH, CRONKITE TO LAUNCH COURIC

**Exclusive**

Plans for the opening week of CBS EVENING NEWS WITH KATIE COURIC have surpassed network executives' wildest dream: Presidents Bush and Clinton, radio king Rush Limbaugh and broadcast legend Walter Cronkite have all agreed to appear, a CBS insider reveals!

A top network source says scheduling of "guest editorials" are still in flux.

But the addition of Rush Limbaugh to the CBS EVENING NEWS is bound to generate maximum commotion and tune-in hits.

"It was Katie's idea to bring Limbaugh in," a top CBS source said on Sunday. "She is very excited he has agreed to appear."

Rudy Giuliani and Bill Maher have also signed on for early editions of Couric.

CBS will issue a press release on Monday confirming details of the EVENING NEWS all-star line-up.

Associated Press

BRISBANE, Australia - Steve Irwin, the hugely popular Australian television personality and environmentalist known as the "Crocodile Hunter," was killed Monday by a stingray during a diving expedition. He was 44.

Irwin was filming an underwater documentary on the Great Barrier Reef in northeastern Queensland state when he was stung, Sydney's The Daily Telegraph newspaper reported on its Web site.

He collapsed at Batt Reef, near Low Isle and the resort town of Port Douglas, Queensland state police said in a statement. Port Douglas is about 1,260 miles north of Brisbane, the state capital.

A rescue helicopter rushed to the scene but Irwin had died, the statement said.

I barely remember hearing these paintings were stolen two years ago, but the good news is they've been returned.

OSLO (Reuters) - Norwegian police recovered "The Scream" and another stolen masterpiece by Edvard Munch on Thursday, two years after the works were seized from a museum by gunmen.

"We are 100 percent certain they are the originals," police chief Iver Stensrud told a news conference. "The damage was much less than feared."

Let's see how bad the damage to "The Scream" really was...

Seems okay to me...

***UPDATE***
Today's Vent with Michelle Malkin is a round-up of all things Katrina. I agree with most of Michelle's points, however I still think Brown/FEMA take too much heat for this, because the situation wouldn't have been as unmanagable had there been compitent local and state leadership. Because they refused to issue a mandatory evacuation, and follow their own plans, FEMA was left to clean up an unimaginable mess. Note how Jeb Bush is constantly in front of the cameras and issuing evacuations days before storms approach, and he evacuated the Keys days before the current storm. More of my unpolitically correct look back at "Katrina" here.

This isn't a case of CNN bias, just a case of CNN stupidity. CNN anchor Kyra Phillips yacked it up with some other girl in the ladies room while President Bush's speech was being aired live. The problem is, Phillips forgot to take off her mic, and the folks in the control room forgot to cut it. The result was that we were treated to girl talk over the President's speech. CNN has since apologized. HotAir has the video for you, that I suggest reading with the transcript via Newsbusters.

*UPDATE - VIDEO VIA YOUTUBE*

Highlights:

"A**holes."

And speaking about her brother:

"Yeah. He's married, three kids, but his wife is just a control freak."

Steve Doocy and Mike Jerrick just hilariously spoofed it on Fox & Friends, and they along with Kiran Chetry have mocked it all morning, while admitting it does happen to everyone. Though a few words here and there are nothing compared to this lengthy conversation overtop of the President.

The odd thing is that this always happens to CNN during big speeches. Remember when Bush was getting set to do a speech from the Oval office on immigration, and cut to him while he was warming up, making him look like an idiot while he stopped a few words in and looked all around the room.

And who could forget the flashing "X" over Vice President Cheney during a speech he made. You know the incident that someone who answered a phone at CNN defended as "free speech" before the network called it a glitch.

A few days ago I posted on U.S. Senate Candidate Michael Steele's odd endorsement from Def Jam head Russell Simmons. I maintain my point that while I'm glad to see this known liberal and "black leader" dare to come out and endorse a Republican, letting black you know "it's okay to vote GOP", I still don't think having someone who has been behind some of the most thuggish rap out there on his team sends the right message. I'm also still not happy with this being the sole candidate that Simmons say makes Republicans "open for discussion". Why weren't any open for discussion before? Read my other post for details on that, and on Sharpton trying to sound more like Bill Cosby than the actual poverty pimp shakedown brother he is.

Anyway, this is just a quick follow-up for those who are interested in this story. Ian at HotAir attended the reception held by Simmons for Steele tonight and got video of the two palling around.

Again, I suppose this is for the greater good, in that it may help Steele get elected, but I just think if you look at the Def Jam artist list and think about the message of many of these "artists", and consider that Simmons has aided in them getting rich of peddling this crap that perpetuates the "thug life" and crime problems that continue to plague inner city, and particularly black, youth.

Michelle Malkin has a link round-up with some more background, as well as a prediction that we'll see dirty Dem tricks stepped up in reaction to this.

Isn't the "don't play victim, drop the thug life, and help yourself" card a Republican staple? Where does notorious race and poverty pimp Al Sharpton get off stealing from our playbook? Of course he doesn't stay completely away from the blame game (come on, it's Sharpton).

INDIANAPOLIS - Many black youths fall under a spell of "gangster mentality," preventing them from becoming leaders and making a positive impact in politics, the Rev. Al Sharpton said.

The civil rights activist faulted Hollywood and the record industry for making "gangsterism" seem cool and acceptable.

"We have got to get out of this gangster mentality, acting as if gangsterism and blackness are synonymous," Sharpton said Thursday at the annual conference of the National Association of Black Journalists.

As an advocate of personal responsibility, I can't accept Al's blaming of Hollywood but what took him so long to say what we've said for a long time. There is an epidemic of thug/ganster style/attitude among black youths, and many think they won't do anything if they aren't a rapper or professional athlete. While there are always exceptions, the "black community" has clearly been headed in the wrong direction for a few decades. While almost everyone acknowledges this, rarely do you hear a voter panderer Democrat or "black leader" point out the actual problem, and usually they'll argue with those of us who make the point Al just did.

"I think we've allowed a whole generation of young people to feel that if they're focused, they're not black enough. If they speak well and act well, they're acting white, and there's nothing more racist than that."

Who is this guy? How can these be Sharpton's words? I can't believe he kind of takes responsibility for what's been happening (vs. blaming whitey) when he says "we've allowed...". And he nails it when pointing out that many black youths choose note to speak or behave properly because it's too "white". It's not "white" and I know plenty of honorable black people who are examples of people who don't feel the need to act like a thug or a gangster. Thug rap is not something to model your life after.

On the topic of thug rap, a stunning move by Def Jam founder Russell Simmons has him stumping for GOP Senate candidate Michael Steele. Stunning because Simmons is a known liberal. While I'm happy to see a "black leader" letting young blacks know that it's okay to vote Republican, I don't know that I would accept his endorsement if I were Steele. As head of a hip-hop label that has been home to some of the thuginest of rappers, I just don't think that he's a great representative for one's campaign. I fear that the conservative Steele is pandering for black votes here.

Hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons will be the host of a campaign fundraiser Thursday for Maryland Lt. Gov. Michael S. Steele's run for U.S. Senate.
He applauded Maryland Gov. Robert L. Ehrlich Jr., a Republican, in February 2005 for winning over black voters with urban initiatives, especially criminal-justice reforms, and raising the Republican Party's profile among blacks nationwide.

"He raised the whole party up," Mr. Simmons said at the time. "He makes every Republican open for discussion" among black voters. Mr. Simmons campaigned in 2002 for Mr. Ehrlich's Democratic rival, Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, and said he initially had negative impressions of both Mr. Ehrlich and Mr. Steele. But he says the Ehrlich administration has demonstrated that both men "should be held up to the light as examples" of Republican leaders who are committed to all of their constituents.

Wow, what an open mind you have Russell. Republicans weren't open for discussion before? Again, I'm glad to see this in some ways because perhaps black youths who've been told to vote Democrat may feel a little more free to figure out what they really personally think about things and how they would like to vote.

I think the positives outweigh the negatives here, but I have to say I think we need to see more of Sharpton practicing what he preaches and I don't think Simmons is a great choice for a campaigner on a GOP ticket. I also find it more than a little annoying that it took a black candidate for Simmons to do this.

Let me just start by saying that there is nothing political behind this, and I'm sure you can assume how I feel about Lamont already anyway. But the resemblance just struck me when I was looking at a lamont picture included in a HotAir post earlier. Look at this photo of Lamont and tell me if he reminds you of any other current news makers:

Need another hint?

Am I reaching? Look at this... they could be brothers!

Again, nothing at all political about this and I'm not tying Lamont to a child molester/murder... But the second I saw that picture of Lamont getting his make-up on, sitting their like a baby getting it's diaper changed, it looked exactly like the footage we saw all weekend of creepy John Karr sitting in the middle of that room with media and police surrounding him and him just sort of looking like he's in a dream world.

***UPDATE***
If you would like to "morph" any Lamont to Karr images yourself, feel free to email them, and I'll post them. Tons of Lamont photos here and Karr photos here.

***UPDATE*** - I found out how she came to be in Pakistan.... To meet her online boyfriend Junaid! SCROLL for details

Why is it that everytime our state makes the news, it's for something embarrasing? First it was Howard Dean's civil unions. Then it was the Dean Scream, and the insanity that continues to come out of his mouth as DNC chairman. Oh, and let's not forget Congressman, and current Senate candidate, Bernie Sanders who is the only self proclaimed socialist in Washington! Sanders is an Independent, but clearly only because the Democrats aren't far enough to the left for him. Now we make the news for having some nutty "peace activist" woman who's been chillin' out in Pakistan, disrupting a flight..... and peeing on the floor.

Not only am I crazy, Tom Harkin. But I've been to Pakistan, I want to talk to Air Marshalls to show them my bag, I want to talk to the captain, and then I'm going back to the cabin to pee on the floor! YAAARGH!

A few AP excerpts on this nut:

A woman on a trans-Atlantic flight diverted to Boston for security concerns passed several notes to crew members, urinated on the cabin floor and made comments the crew believed were references to al-Qaida and the Sept. 11 attacks, according to an affidavit filed Thursday.

Catherine C. Mayo, 59, of Braintree, Vt., appeared in federal court Thursday on a charge of interfering with a flight crew on United 923 as it flew from London to Washington, D.C., Wednesday.

Now, I call her "crazy" and a "nut", but not in the sense that her defense is arguing, as if she wasn't conscious of what she was doing. Everyone is trying to treat this as some claustrophobic woman who freaked, and now that more details are out, she's the victim of mental problems.

Mayo's son, Josh, 31, described his mother as a peace activist and said she had been in Pakistan since March. She traveled there often since making a pen pal prior to Sept. 11, 2001, he said. The pen pal hasn't been allowed to visit the U.S., he added.

"Peace activist"? Now we're getting to the source of her insanity.

"I guess she just had a bit of a bad time on the plane, and everybody's a little paranoid," the son said.

Look Josh, I feel bad and embarassed for you about this, but let's not be ridiculous here. "A bit of a bad time"? And then playing her as the victim because she was tackled, cuffed, and is now being charged with a crime, and saying it's because everybody's "a little paranoid". Let's take a deeper look at her actions and see whether paranoia or decisive and necessary action under the circumstances. Keep in mind that Mayo was on a UK to US flight, a week after a HUGE terror plot was broken up in the UK, in which a number of planes on this flight path would have been blown up.

Mayo's passport indicates she left Pakistan and entered the United Kingdom on Tuesday, according to the affidavit by FBI Special Agent Daniel Choldin filed in U.S. District Court in Boston.

In the affidavit, Choldin says flight attendants noticed Mayo about 90 minutes into the flight because she was pushing against the aircraft bulkhead. When the attendant told her to return to her seat, Mayo said she wanted to speak to an air marshal and made statements about knowing that people wanted to see what was in her bag.

FBI spokeswoman Gail Marcinkiewicz confirmed Thursday that authorities found a screwdriver and an unspecified number of cigarette lighters in her bag, items that are banned under new security regulations. Marcinkiewicz also confirmed that matches were found in Mayo's bag.

She also had a bottle of water, which did not appear to be supplied by the flight crew. It wasn't clear how the items made it through airport security, which has been significantly tightened since the terror plot arrests.

Later during the flight, according to the affidavit, Mayo asked a flight attendant: "Is this a training flight for United Flight 93?" The flight attendant didn't know if she made a mistake because the flight was actually Flight 923, or if she was referring to Flight 93, the hijacked plane that crashed in Pennsylvania on Sept. 11.

She was "biting her fingers, rubbing her feet and in a constant state of movement. She appeared very agitated," the affidavit said.

She also wrote in a note and said to flight attendants that she had been in a country illegally, and later said she had photographs of Pakistan.

"She stated that the photographs would be awful, and she indicated that they related to the people that she had been with in the mountains of Pakistan," the affidavit said.

Flight attendants summoned the captain, who spoke to Mayo. During the conversation, she made reference to there being "six steps to building some unspecified thing."

"She made reference to being with people associated with two words. She stated that she could not say what the two words were because the last time that she had said the two words she had been kicked off of a flight in the United Arab Emirates," according to the affidavit.

The captain and purser both believed that she was referring to al- Qaida, Choldin wrote.

About 35 minutes later, when she tried to go to the bathroom, the flight attendants directed her to a different lavatory. Instead, she pulled down her pants and urinated on the floor, Choldin wrote in the affidavit, which was based on his interviews and those of other federal officials.

At that point, the captain ordered her restrained. Two male passengers helped a flight attendant tackle Mayo and restrain her in plastic cuffs.

Now Mother Mayo faces jail time and hefty fines:

The count against Mayo carries a maximum 20-year prison sentence and a $250,000 fine.

But the way things have gone lately, I have a feeling she'll get off with a slap on the wrist, maintain victim status, do the media circuit, write a book, and do the media circuit again.

Read the rest here...

Anway, do I think this woman is a terrorist? No. Do I think she deserves to have the book thrown at her? Given all that we know right now, yes. There is no excuse for her behavior. There's also no excuse for her getting on the plane with that stuff. And while I don't think she was a terrorist, why do you bring a screwdriver on a plane? Who travels with a screwdriver?

Back to her "peace activism"... She seems to be a nutty far left journalist qualified to work for Hezbollywood. Allah found an idiotic hard hitting piece she wrote about 60s peace folksongs that apparently Bush has banned:

I hope that when I wear out this Cat Stevens album it won’t be too difficult to get another one. The folksongs of the 1960s will never be written again because of President George Bush. He has hampered the liberties of my country in the name of September 11. Songs now can only talk of patriotism, they cannot mention peace.

Sweetheart, I think you've been drinking Allah-Aid in Pakistan for too long... Other than country music, have you heard ANYTHING out of the entertainment industry in the past few years that wasn't rabidly anti-Bush and anti-Iraq war? Hollywood and the music industry hate this President like no one has ever been hated before. The lack of "peace" songs is due to the musicians are a bunch of uniformed hateful dolts and they couldn't care less about peace. They care about making asses out of themselves by not having a clue what they're talking about, yet getting more vicious every day.

For those of you who would like to read more of Mayo's works, I found this, this, and this. Only worth a read if you are trying to find out just how much of a far lefty this lady is.

***UPDATE***
I just found a piece Mayo wrote for a Vermont paper in 2002, The Herald based in Randolph, while in Pakistan (meaning this trip she's returning from now wasn't her first). It explains how she went there chasing her online boyfriend Junaid, and how there is a "humorous" equality between men and women there. Humorous? That's a new one. A few important excerpts:

I have come here by a long strange road. I met Junaid, a Pakistani man, on line before September 11. He is talking about marriage, so I need to get to know him better before I bring him into the US on a fiancé visa. He was refused a visitor visa to the US, so I have come here.

Al-Harmony.com?

I have already lived through Ramadan, and Eid. I know a lot about his culture, for sure! But now I need to get to know the man. Instant Messenger works well for awhile, but we got to know each other so well that we were arguing all the time.

We are still arguing. I have the entire staff of the hotel helping me out with this. My phone calls to Junaid have to go through the front desk. When he comes to the hotel, the receptionist calls my room and announces, "Mr. Junaid is here." I have to give my permission before he is sent down the hall. Every day, when I need to talk to someone, I tell the front desk what Junaid and I are arguing about. They give me good advice.

Now here comes the punchline, remember it's humorous according to Mayo...

There is a general rule about the relationship between men and women here. The man is supposed to tell the woman what to do. The woman is supposed to say that she is trying very hard to do what he says, but she is always making mistakes.

There is real equality between the sexes here. Equality, with a sense of humor.

Hahaha, oh man! That is funny Cathy, I'll give ya that. I mean what isn't funny about oppression! Classic, some of the funniest stuff I've ever heard. Tell me the one about the honor killings again!

After this aging hippy pointlessly rambles more about her experience, she ends with:

He passed the test.

Just another normal "boy meets girl" story.

Steve Doocy just said on Fox & Friends that there's breaking news on the wires that NBA player Lonny Baxter (who actually now plays for an Italian league, apparently), has been arrested by Secret Service agents, regarding some shooting within a couple blocks of the White House.... Not reported anywhere yet, so we'll see. Don't get me wrong, I don't think this is an "attempt on the President's life" or anything like that. I suspect we're looking at some gang activity.... We'll see...

*UPDATE*
The Washington Post:

Lonny Baxter, a forward on the NBA Charlotte Bobcats and a former University of Maryland standout, was arrested on weapons charges early this morning by uniformed Secret Service agents after they received reports of shots being fired a few blocks from the White House.

Secret Service Spokesman Eric Zahren said that a civilian flagged down an officer about 2.30 a.m. to report the sound of gunfire in the vicinity of 18th and H Streets, NW. A few minutes later, officers pulled over an SUV at 17th and I Streets, NW and found in plain view spent shell casings.

A further search discovered a handgun.

Baxter, 27, and a companion in the car, Irvin Martin, 35, were held on firearms charges, including possession of a pistol without a license and possession of ammunition.
