By now you're certainly familiar with the race friendly liberals using "blackface" imagery to attack their opponents. Most noteably it's the Dems eatting their own, Joe Lieberman, simply because he has the conviction to not go with the polls on the Iraq war, even though he's a liberal all the way around. From time to time I don't even cover these type of stories, partly because the racism coming out of the left is such a regular occurance that it would be full time job, and partly because it would be overkill sense the everyone else blogs about it. The only thing unique in this case is that Lieberman is a Democrat.

If you have been following the story, you know that nutroot and Huffington Poster Jane Hamsher who originally used the Lieberman "blackface" in a piece she wrote, took it down and tried to distance herself from who she supports, Lieberman's primary opponent Ned Lamont. And if you've managed to stay out of the lefty Kool Aid zones you'd realize that despite Hamsher's claims that she's not affiliate with the Lamont campaign, and his distancing himself from blogs, she is VERY tight with the campaign. In fact, she seems like she's practically an unpaid campaign manager! Michelle Malkin has the details here, here, and especially here.

Well now some liberal blogger I've never heard of is crying selective conservative outrage because he didn't hear anyone throw a fit about my Hillary / Roots photoshop. I created the photoshop following Hillary's comments to a black Harlem audience on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, comparing what slaves endured to what Democrats in Congress endure:

The House "has been run like a plantation, and you know what I'm talking about," said Clinton, D-N.Y. "It has been run in a way so that nobody with a contrary view has had a chance to present legislation, to make an argument, to be heard."

I'm not ashamed to show the image again because it's totally different than the "blackface" images that everyone is upset about.

First of all, the "blackface" that the liberals have been using to attack opponents is deeply rooted in the racist history of America (see here). The liberals are using no context just drudging up painful memories of the racism of this country's past while taking cheapshots at political opponents. My image is clearly photoshopping Hillary in to a position that she claims to be in.

Look, I DIDN'T paint Hillary as some black slave, SHE DID. She had the nerve to devalue what the slaves went through by comparing it with whiny Democrats in Washington not getting their way! SHE DID THAT! I mocked her by putting her on the cover of roots, sarcastically saying essentially "really, is it this bad Hill?" Please explain to me how you can interpret that any other way. What else could I possibly have been saying?

Well, leave it to the libs. They are claiming that his is a "blackface" like any other. First of all, it's not the "blackface" that we've seen, referencing the "blackface" of our history. It's a Hillary face on the cover of roots, where I simply painted over her face with some semi-transparent brown to make it blend with the hands and body from the original image. With her normal pale white skin color, the image just didn't "fit". Admittedly even with my coloring job, it's not the greatest, but I don't have any real photoshopping software.

Somehow liberals see me using color to blend the skin on Hillary's face to the body I put it on, the same as they see people using the ages old "blackface" that is used to mock black people. My image has nothing to do with "black people". It has to do with Hillary playing slave!

A blogger Steve M. at RogerAiles.blogspot.com took it upon himself to expose what his misguided childish mind thinks is a double standard. He opens with these three paragraphs, with my Hillary photoshop after the first:

I didn't like Jane Hamsher's blackface Lieberman, but does anyone recall a similar reaction when RightWinged.com, a favorite of the conservative blogosphere, ran this?

(my photoshop)

*crickets*, as I recall.

(That was in reaction to Hillary's comment that the GOP-controlled House of Representatives "has been run like a plantation.")

First let me mention that Steve M. cross-posted the entire entry over at some place called "No More Mister Nice Blog". And in both locations he hotlinked my image, instead of doing the normal internet courtesy move of saving it and hosting it on your own. Steve M. wasn't amused when I replace the image file that he was hotlinking, with a giant George Bush photo, throwing his page all out of whack. He adds this update to his post:

UPDATE: Randy, you tried to pull the picture so I couldn't link it, but it's back in a non-hotlinked version. You created this. You should be proud of it. Grow up.

Where did I pull a picture? As annoying as your spinjob is, I didn't pull anything, I tought you a lesson in internet etiquet and hopefully lyou won't be hotlinking anyone else. You must be new to this. You're just lucky I didn't decide to be a real ass and replace that image file with pornography. I saved the original Hillary image under a new name, and made the changes to the post so that it was still there just as before, so nothing was pulled bud. All that happened was anywhere that you hotlinked under the original filename, you had a giant Dubya photo. Again, you must be new to how this works.

Anyway, this clown has take other comments I've said out of context to use in his updates, and he and his trolls have been arguing with me in the comments. Perhaps you'd like to join the party at Roger Ailes or No More Mister Nice Blog.

One last point to keep in mind... Steve calls me "a favorite of the conservative blogosphere". As much as I wish that were true (if I had time to blog regularly anyway), this is ridiculous. Just look at my site meter. I'm averaging like 200-something hits right now, and I barely blog. How can he say that there were crickets chirping (vs. outrage at my photoshop), when the crickets were actually my traffic. How do you compare little me with Jane Hamsher. Hamsher, who used the Lieberman image, writes at the Huff post and her own blog Firedog Lake averages over 62,000 hits per day!!!

Liberal honesty at it's best, eh? Where was the outrage at my image? Well, I don't think it would be justified, but even if it were, the outrage is lacking because the readership is. Eh, I'm bored with this for now. I feel like I'm explaining it to death, because that's what I feel I have to do after dealing with the 5-year-old like minds of the libs commenting at these blogs.

Newly appointed White House Chief of Staff Josh Bolten has said that the administration plans to get their "mojo" back. Too.... many..... Austin Powers jokes.... can't decide..... Oh well, enjoy this photoshop (click for full size):

WASHINGTON (AP) -- It's time for the White House to go on offense and "get our mojo back." Josh Bolten said Sunday in his first interview since taking over as the president's chief of staff.
"What the change does provide is an opportunity for the White House to step back, refresh, re-energize at a time when we're 5 1/2 years into an administration - normally a slow point, a low point, in many administrations - and a chance for us to get our mojo back, to go back more on the offensive and to get people within the White House to look at our operations, re-energize them for the next six months up through the election, the next 1,000 days through the end of this president's term," Bolten said.

More from the AP...

********THIS JUST IN***********

We're getting reports in that the President has in fact recovered his mojo.... what?... yes... yes we can now confirm that, President Bush has his mojo back. Yeah baby!

(Helen Thomas and David Gregory's heads obtained from screen captures at Expose the Left)
(vulture photo)

I threw that together last night after we'd all heard Fox News confirm that Tony Snow would in fact be taking the job, and just as was reported, the President welcomed Tony to the team this morning. HotAir has a highlight video clip from the President's brief statements. See Flopping Aces, The Political Pit Bull, or Expose the Left for a full clip of the 4 and a half minute event.

Naturally, this is the subject of much buzz around the blogosphere. I'll try to stay away from rabid lefty blogs in this round-up because... who cares, right? I mean, all they are saying is "Ah-ha! We told you Fox News was just a Bush propaganda machine". Take your pick, this is really about all they have to say. What's really annoyingis they are ignoring the fact that Tony Snow isn't FNC's "evening news" guy. He's a pundit, a commentator, and a known former President George H.W. Bush speech writer!!! Idiot lefties treat this like it's been kept secret or something.

So like I said, it would be a waste to link you to all the cliche posts at the lefty blogs, but you do have to check out today's vicious DNC press release (h/t California Conservative).

"The American people should get ready for another Snow job from the Bush White House. Tony Snow represents more of the same, not the fresh start the Administration needed," said Democratic National Committee Communications Director Karen Finney. "This is an interdepartmental move from one part of the conservative infrastructure to another that allows a darling of the right-wing to deliver the same misleading message, cherry-picked information and spin to the American people. Josh Bolten's plan for re-energizing the White House called for more happy talk and a better PR campaign for the same failed policies. Snow's track record of delivering misleading rhetoric is a perfect fit for this Administration that refuses to change and has a problem telling the truth."

Hey Dems, is this the DNC that you want representing you? I suppose next they'll be urging raising taxes on snow blowers?! (rimshot please) [insert equally lame jokes that use "snow balls", "snow showers", "snow man", "snow plow", etc. here]

***UPDATE***
As I mentioned earlier, the main dig that liberals across the blogosphere have been trying to take at Snow is the played out and predictable "Fox News is already the mouth piece for the Bush administration" line. As I said, Snow isn't the "evening news man", he's a commentator/pundit, and he's already been a speech writer for the former President George H.W. Bush.

I thought about all of that for a minute earlier and realized that we didn't hear an outcry from these people when CNN's Paul Begala and James Carville were hired on to the Kerry campaign as "unpaid advisors". Where were all the cries of media partisanship from these liberals then? Even the right didn't cry partisanship, but rightly complained about a conflict of interests, when CNN kept them on the air. Bill O'Reilly nailed it at the time:

So now we find out that CNN commentators James Carville and Paul Begala have signed on with the Kerry campaign as unpaid advisors. Traditionally, that would mean they would have to take a leave of absence from CNN or any news organization which employed them because journalistic ethics (oxymoron?) dictate that news organizations remain totally separate from political campaigns. But since we live in strange times, CNN says it will keep the guys on the air.

In the wake of the vicious attacks on Fox News for allegedly being "GOP TV," I expected the media to brutally dismember CNN and the new boys on John Kerry's bus. But instead it's been the silence of the lambs from the press. Can you say media bias?

Read more, as Bill further blasts the media for their hyporisy, and CNN's lack of "equal time".

If you hadn't already heard the newly launched Chinese version of Google is a censored one... There was a lot of speculation on whether or not Google would cave, and in the end they did. Read that article for the background story.

This development inspired photoshopping bloggers to create images for the new Google.cn

Michelle Malkin has been keeping track of all of them, and I'm to lazy to go save each individual entry, so I'll just link you to her two posts in which she displays them:

Michelle Malkin: Google.cn logo group #1

Michelle Malkin: Google.cn logo group #2

Make sure you check those out... Some hilarious stuff. And now check out my stab at it. I have a 3 different sizes of President Jintao walking a cuffed Googleman, a cropped image, and one that is strictly the solo "Googleman". Click below this preview image to see the 3 different sizes.

Normal    Large    Extra Large

The cropped (more focused on Googleman and Chinese President Jintao) ... and the solo cuffed Googleman (click for full size).

Feel free to post these images on your blog, but no hotlinking please. Just please save on your own server or elsewhere if you choose to post any of them.

If for some reason you think you might want to do anything else with Googleman or any of these images, I have them in PNG (layered) so you can easily add things to them, add them to things, or edit them any way really. Just contact me at randy at rightwinged.com for those files.

UPDATE: Say Anything busts Google for removing a page that explained their "No Censor" policy, now that they bowed to China's censoring demands. They have the evidence to prove it.

The Political Teen wonders why Google was able to hold their ground against the U.S. government in not turning over records, but caved when face to face with China demanding censorship?

hat tip Drudge

Looks like this story is just breaking because Drudge linked to it, but it doesn't appear any blogs have picked it up yet even though it's been on the wires for a few hours.

excerpt:

Colombia has dismantled a false passport ring with links to al-Qaida and Hamas militants, the acting attorney general said Thursday after authorities led dozens of simultaneous raids across five cities.

The gang allegedly supplied an unknown number of citizens from Pakistan, Jordan, Iraq, Egypt and other countries with false passports and Colombian nationality without them ever stepping foot in the country, the attorney general's office said in a written statement.

The counterfeited passports were then used to facilitate their entry into the United States and Europe.

Nineteen people were arrested in Thursday's raids, carried out in collaboration with U.S. authorities, the attorney general's office said. Officials at the U.S. Embassy in Bogota were not immediately available for contact.

Okay Cronkite we get it, you are an extreme leftist.... now please shut up.

Ancient moonbat Walter Cronkite, who right before the 2004 election put forth a theory on Larry King Live that a recently released Bin Laden tape was somehow "set up" by Karl Rove, is now putting his two cents in about U.S. troops leaving Iraq.

"It's my belief that we should get out now," Cronkite said in a meeting with reporters.
First of all, is this some new revelation? I mean, I don't have a specific quote here, but I find it hard to believe to believe that this is some new position hat Cronkite is taking. And if it's not, then why is it news? Actually, even if it were some new position, why is it news?

It's not enough to listen to Senators talk like they know about running this campaign, all to politicize it for their own benefit... but somehow it's now news when senile old men who've been retired news anchors for multiple decades are now making headlines with their statements on Iraq? Riiiiiiiight, because he's so qualified that this deserves coverage.

Thanks General Cronkite, but I think I'll get my military analysis elsewhere.... Maybe from commanders and troops on the ground, and other military experts. But we all really appreciate your insight though...

...I'm a little inclined to think that Karl Rove, the political manager at the White House, who is a very clever man, he probably set up bin Laden to this thing.

Anyway, read the "new" story here

And enjoy the new CBS News format... apparently the anchors feel more at home in this setting.

(as always, click image for full size)

Rather: ...and if a fro..... if a camel had side pockets he'd carry an RPG
Cronkite: Dan, your stupid one liners make even less sense after you've Al Qaedized 'em up.
Rather: Hey buddy, you don't tell me how to make an ass out of myself, and I won't tell you how to trim your eyebrows?

January 09, 2006

Alito was thrown to the wolves today, and the Senate Dems (as expected) took the opportunity to bash Bush, and as always display their angry bitter distain for anything relating to the President.

Alito confidently told the Senate:

"A judge can't have any agenda, a judge can't have any preferred outcome in any particular case, and a judge certainly doesn't have a client,"

Schumer delivered the expected rhetoric:

"You give the impression of being a meticulous legal navigator, but, in the end, you always seem to chart a rightward course,

And Ted Kennedy served up some Kool Aid to wash it down:
"In an era when the White House is abusing power, is excusing and authorizing torture and is spying on American citizens, I find Judge Alito's support for an all-powerful executive branch to be genuinely troubling,"

Giving me the perfect opportunity to use this:

OH YEAAAAAAAH!

RightWing Nuthouse has kind words about today's coverage by the establishment media.
Blogs for Bush, like myself, isn't surprised by anything out of the Dems today.
Sister Toldjah links us to a well put together Alito hearing schedule from TownHall.com

(Disclaimer: THIS IS A JOKE, incase any libs want to come accuse me of lying or something)

It seems ranking Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, Pat Leahy from Vermont, has really gotten desperate. After losing their "star witness" who was going to aide the Dems in painting Alito as a racist and a sexist, Leahy was out of ideas. All he had left was his trusty TIME DELAY FART MACHINE. Here we can see him sneaking in to set it up under Alito's chair, in preparation for next week's hearings, in this still image from a security footage taken after hours Friday evening.
