Like Kieth Olberman and Al Franken's obsession with Bill O'Reilly, Al Gore can't get enough of President George W. Bush (you like the sound of that don't you Al? "PRESIDENT George W. Not Gore Bush"!).

First, concerning the Iraq war Gore said of the President, "He betrayed this country!", then more recently he claimed that the after 9/11, under President Bush, Arabs were "indiscriminately rounded up" and held in "unforgivable" conditions , (of course he was in Saudi Arabia and offered no evidence). You should all remember that this wasn't long after Bill Clinton went to Dubay to proclaim that the Iraq war was a mistake. Why is it these shameful pukes had to go to Arab countries to say this stuff, and won't say it here?

Anyway, Gore has let loose once again...

Via the New York Daily News (article excerpts)

But that hasn't stopped him from writing a gasket-blowing polemic arguing that by refusing to face up to the threat of global warming, Bush is just like the disgraced British prime minister who appeased the Nazis before World War II.

(see previous post for more on "global warming", or is it "global cooling".... maybe it's just the weather!?)

Bush "was warned on Aug. 6, 2001, of an attack by Al Qaeda. 'Bin Laden Determined to Strike in US,' said the intelligence community in a message so important that it was the headline of the President's daily briefing that day, five weeks before the attacks," Gore seethes.

"Didn't he see that clear warning?" asks Gore. "Why were no questions asked, meetings called, evidence marshaled, clarifications sought?"

First of all, these type of warnings were not uncommon and there was no actionable intelligence. It's not like the President got some warning that said "they are going to fly planes in to building on 9/11 and we can stop it Mr. President if you just give us the word". And does Gore really want to get started on which administration ignored terrorism? Do we really want to talk about all the unanswered terrorist attacks on American targets during the Clinton administration? Or how about Able Danger? Or about passing on Bin Laden numerous times?

You didn't win and you'll never be President so give it up dude. On second thought, keep it up Al, you're only hurting your own party by running around the world crying like a baby. Well, not so much running around as flying to make your alarmist speeches and burning 439,500 pounds of fuel at a cost of $131,000 in one trip, when you could have used your invention, the Internet, to video conference in your speech. Don't hang around for questions though, just hit the road in that Cadillac Escalade.

By now I assume you've all heard about the suspected terrorists that were indicted in Toledo, Ohio.

via WTOL

TOLEDO -- A federal grand jury has indicted three Toledo-area men for terrorist activities. Prosecutors say the three conspired to wage a "holy war" against the United States and coalition forces in the Middle East. The indictment was unsealed Monday.

Attorney General Alberto Gonzales says it was work by the F.B.I. and the Toledo Joint Terrorism Task Force that led to the indictments.

According to the indictment, the suspects are Mohammad Zaki Amawi, Marwan Othman El-Hindi, and Wassim Mazloum. The indictment says all three were living in the Toledo area. Amawi is a citizen of the US and also a citizen of Jordan. El-Hindi is a naturalized American citizen who was born in Jordan. Mazloum is a legal permanent resident of the US, who came here from Lebanon.

This is one of those stories the MSM hates because it shows that we are actively fighting terrorism within our borders. Off the top of my head, I can vaguely remember a handful of similar stories over the past few years that make a few headlines but then are burried, but I'm sure there are plenty more. I had even forgotten about the Lodi "suspected" terrorists until I heard last week that the trial was beginning for one of them. Anyone remember the Lackawana/Buffalo Six? How about the guys who were plotting to bomb a NY City subway station? Update here. What about these NY City terror suspects. There are updates in the news on most of these guys if you are looking, but don't expect them to be headlines in your paper or on TV.

Those were just a couple of stories I thought of off the top of my head and did some quick searches on. But there are plenty more out there, so don't let the media pull the old Michael Moore "there is no terrorist threat" crap on you. There have been countless terror arrests on our soil that are and have worked their way through our system, above the radar, despite lack of media coverage. I think we can safely assume there are way more going on below the radar as well.

Andrew Cochran at The Counterterrorism Blog has compiled a lot of information on this story, including the indictments of the three men. Check it out now.

Here's my question folks: When will Al Gore be flying to Lebanon and Jordan (the home countries of these men) to say that George Bush has "indiscriminately rounded them up" and held them in "unforgivable" conditions, and "Unfortunately there have been terrible abuses." Come on Gore, it's been a few days since you went out of your way to hurt your country in a time of war. Perhaps he could bring Senator Rockefeller over with him to provide intelligence to our enemies as he admits (unashamed) that he did prior to the Iraq war.

By the way, I would like to dedicate this post to Jack Cafferty, who said yesterday:

Since 9/11, the priority number one has been to protect this country from another terrorist attack. President Bush rode our fear of that very thing to a second term in office. The War in Iraq is advertised as part of the War on Terror. A half a trillion dollars and 2300 dead Americans soldiers, so that we can quote “fight them over there so we don’t have to fight them over here”. But what about over here?

See video at Expose The Left

What about over here Cafferty? Don't you feel like an idiot having said that yesterday, and today's big story is we've arrested guys on our soil who were plotting to attack our troops in Iraq!? Isn't it great when things come together like that.

Cafferty goes on to rant about the "port deal"... I don't quite no what to make of it yet. Of course it isn't smart to have some Arab company controlling something like that, but as I understand it, there isn't anything making this particularly more dangerous than the current situation. I'll have to hear more about the deal, but I'm not quite sure what to think yet. Is there a way to get an American company to take over these ports instead?

Anyway, back to what Michelle Malkin calls "Jihad in Ohio". Unlike many of the other arrests on United States soil, these guys seemed to be plotting to go over to Iraq to attack Americans, but that doesn't take away from the fact that we are continuing to catch terrorists in this country. So while the "we haven't been attacked since 9/11" can usually be dismissed by liberals with "how long was it before 9/11" and "they could be patiently planning", the facts show that it's no coincidence that we haven't been attacked and that we constantly round up the bad guys. I suspect even worse bad guys, with deeper ties have been captured without letting the public know for intelligence purposes, etc.

UPDATE:
Diggers Realm has posted the picture of the three men and a partial excerpt (with link to full) of Attorney General Alberto Gonzales' press conference held earlier today on this latest development in the war on terror.

Michelle Malkin has the full story on Al Gore's latest "global warming" alarmist festival. I don't have the energy to rant about the BS that is global warming right now... But I would like to, as always, ask all global warmists to explain something:

What caused the (supposed) ice ages, and then caused them to melt? It wasn't any slight temperature changes melting ice sheets that are miles thick. It would have to be extreme climate changes that would bring on and end (supposed) ice ages. So tell me, who was driving around the hummers all those (chuckle) millions of years ago? What ancestors of the evil Bush/Saudi alliance were lining their pockets with oil money while someone drove around prehistoric SUVs?

By the way, death to plants.

February 13, 2006

What is wrong with this guy. Well, don't answer that. But for starters, where does he get off going to an Arab country and slamming our country's treatment of their people!? You've got all the anti-personal responsibility media, American left, and Europeans all claiming "incitement" and "provocation" when it comes to the violence over the cartoons... But is this not, at the very least, "incitement" and "provocation"!? What is this guy doing? We already had Rockefeller admit the following:

I took a trip by myself in January of 2002 to Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Syria, and I told each of the heads of state that it was my view that George Bush had already made up his mind to go to war against Iraq

I'm not smart enough to know, but many have accused him of treason. I think it at least warrants an investigation, and I'm not sure why we haven't seen anything outside of the blogosphere and a couple mentions on FNC.

Anyway, back to Gore (read the whole story here, partial exceprt below):

Gore said Arabs had been "indiscriminately rounded up" and held in "unforgivable" conditions. The former vice president said the Bush administration was playing into al-Qaida's hands by routinely blocking Saudi visa applications.

"The thoughtless way in which visas are now handled, that is a mistake," Gore said during the Jiddah Economic Forum. "The worst thing we can possibly do is to cut off the channels of friendship and mutual understanding between Saudi Arabia and the United States."

Gore told the largely Saudi audience, many of them educated at U.S. universities, that Arabs in the United States had been "indiscriminately rounded up, often on minor charges of overstaying a visa or not having a green card in proper order, and held in conditions that were just unforgivable."

"Unfortunately there have been terrible abuses and it's wrong," Gore said. "I do want you to know that it does not represent the desires or wishes or feelings of the majority of the citizens of my country."

So let me get this straight, no Bush hates Saudis? Last I knew, the left was saying that he was in the pocket of the Saudis trying to get that oil money, and that there was this big 9/11 conspiracy where Bush flew them out of the country, etc. Go on all the far left (which is now mainstream left) sites and see if you can find one that doesn't talk about Bush and his "Saudi oil buddies", and most will also talk about all these "secret" relationships between the Bush family and the Saudi Princes, etc. I guess Gore is just trying to cover all the bases? I think that was what caused all the Kerry flip-flops too.

The global warmists have succeeded in this sort of bologna. For starters in 1975 the Newsweek cover story that the left doesn't want you to know about was an alarmist story of "global cooling". I grew up in Vermont hearing about "global warming" as long as I can remember (annoyingly once out of high school that global warming wasn't a fact, and is actually quite a bunch of BS). Anyway, it's always about heating up the Earth. In recent years when we've had cold winters they've said "um... oh yeah.. uh... that's part of it... we've got global warming, but that will causes cold winters and probably usher in at least a mini-ice age..." So basically we can't ever say "it's the weather" anymore because if it's cold or hot, record precipitation or record dry, it's all just part of global warming. Similarly Bush is in bed with the Saudis and it's a big conspiracy, but he's also committing "terrible abuses" against them in our country.

Well, at least we can be thankful that he isn't our President, right? But Bill Clinton was and he's pulled this same overseas America bashing lately too.

Dubai, UAE

Former President Clinton told Arab students Wednesday the United States made a "big mistake" when it invaded Iraq, stoking the partisan debate back home over the war.

Quick self plug.. Again I ask... What happened to the Democrats?

Expose The Left's Ian Schwartz wonders also why these Dems feel the need to go overseas to preach their hate of America. Seriously, do they think they're hiding it from us, like we don't already know?

I created this video a few days ago but hadn't gotten around to posting it until now. I was playing around with Windows Movie Maker (my second attempt) and came up with what I believe is a hilarious little movie.

Watch it all the way through (only about two and a half minutes long.) There are at least a couple surprises in there that I guarantee will at least make you smirk... I think probably even if you're a lefty.

Download: WMV

What did ya think? Feel free to leave me comments on this, although I suspect I'll get a lot of "you should have included ______". I have thought of others I could have included, and if I get a suggestion I really like, I may add them. But I'm pretty pleased with it for now, especially for only being my second project with Windows Movie Maker.

UPDATE: Special thanks to Ian at Expose The Left for sending some traffic my way on this one. If you got here another way, and aren't familiar, be sure to make his site a daily read/watch (best video blogger around.)

hat tip Drudge

Let me start out by saying, I don't even think this is a story. I just like to mock the always insignificant Al Gore childishly and desperately seeking attention. I won't be surprised if the next time he's in the news, it's because he threw himself on the floor screaming in the mall and refused to obey his mother. Via Canada.com

Former U.S. vice-president Al Gore has accused the oil industry of financially backing the Tories and their "ultra-conservative leader" to protect its stake in Alberta's lucrative oilsands.

Canadians, Gore said, should vigilantly keep watch over prime minister-designate Stephen Harper because he has a pro-oil agenda and wants to pull out of the Kyoto accord -- an international agreement to combat climate change.

Thanks for stoppin' by Gore. Now pick up your pacifier and act like a big boy and maybe we'll get an ice cream on the way home!
