(h/t Michelle Malkin)

Thank you Tony Blair. Now when will Bush step up and lash out at the haters. No, not those who "disagree" with his policies. I'm talking about the Dems and people around the world who call him a liar and elected Democrats who seem to exist for no purpose but to bash the president and obstruct anything and everything so that nothing ever gets done, and never suggest a plan or idea of their own. I know, defending himself can make it appear that he has something to be defensive of, and sinking to their level isn't usually the best idea. But we've had years of hate out of the left and the media gets an assist, and it's just been too much (look at the polls). Enough is enough, Bush needs to stop sitting back and taking it and hit back.

Anyway, his is what Blair had to say:

British Prime Minister Tony Blair launched a withering attack on Thursday on what he called "mad anti-Americanism" among European politicians.

Blair, U.S. President George W. Bush's closest ally in the so-called war on terror, said the world urgently needs the United States to help tackle the globe's most pressing problems.

"The danger is if they decide to pull up the drawbridge and disengage. We need them involved," Blair said, spelling out his political vision in a pamphlet published by The Foreign Policy Center think-tank.

"The strain of, frankly, anti-American feeling in parts of European politics is madness when set against the long-term interests of the world we believe in," he said...

...Responding to those who have criticized the White House, Blair said in his pamphlet: "The danger with America today is not that they are too much involved."

"We want them engaged. The reality is that none of the problems that press in on us can be resolved or even contemplated without them," he added.

He seems to be speaking to anti-Americanism in Europe in general, not just the UK. Sadly you won't have the leader of France talk like this for a couple more decades, once they've begun being fitted for their prayer mats and their women trying on Burkas, and they realize how screwed they are. Many other European nations aren't far behind either.

Sick:

Schoolchildren should be given compulsory lessons about the benefits of abortion, ministers' advisers on sex education claim.

Abortion should be included in teaching about sex to ensure that girls who become pregnant 'can make an informed decision' about whether to have one, they said.

The recommendation from the Independent Advisory Group on Teenage Pregnancy would mean - if accepted by the Government - that pupils would be taught about abortion from the age of 11.

But they could also have abortion lessons in primary schools that teach children from the age of five.

The group, which reports to Education Secretary Alan Johnson and Health Secretary Patricia Hewitt, has repeatedly called for sex education classes to be made compulsory and to include testing for all pupils down to the age of five.

At present only secondary schools need to provide sex education lessons, and parents have the right to withdraw their children. Primary schools must by law have a policy on 'personal, social and health education', but do not need to provide lessons.

Bloomberg

May 5 (Bloomberg) -- U.K. Foreign Secretary Jack Straw, who helped Prime Minister Tony Blair argue the case for the 2003 invasion of Iraq, has been replaced, the British Broadcasting Corp. reported, without citing sources.

Blair is reorganizing his Cabinet following bad results in yesterday's local elections, which saw his Labour Party forfeit 254 seats in councils across the country, while the Conservatives gained 250.

Charles Clarke has left his job as Home Secretary a week after announcing his department had allowed 1,023 foreign criminals to leave prison without considering whether they should have been deported, the BBC said. He will return to the backbenches.

Geoff Hoon, Defense Secretary during the Iraq War and now Leader of the House of Commons, will be Secretary of State for Europe, a new Cabinet-level post, the BBC said. Straw will replace him as Leader of the House, responsible for steering legislation through Parliament, the BBC said.

UPDATE:
I've added a photo of Justin Timberlake for a comparison after I saw The Political Pit Bull as linking here with a post of his own in which he has a Timberlake photo to compare the "e-fit" with. He also notes that Allah from Alarming News thinks the other guy in the "e-fit" looks like Andrew Sullivan, and has a picture to support that belief. Of course, the "other guy" is actually the Timberlake looking guy with a beard, but because of the hat and the Sullivan picture that Allah found, it works out pretty well.

By now everyone has heard about the record heist in England, in which the robbers got away with as much as $87 million. Today it's been reported that police have recovered some of the money, ceased 4 vehicles, and arrested and released 3 suspects on bail.

What you probably didn't hear is that Justin Timberlake is a suspect. No not another person who shares the name of the American pop-star. But who else could this be in this police sketch artist picture of the suspect (or as they call it an "e-fit of the suspect"). Tell me that's not Timberlake, seriously?

And just when you thought it couldn't get any stranger... Why are these cops wearing what looks like some kind of hazmat gear when they are recovering bags of money?

But I don't see what the big deal is.... it isn't the only time someone with one of these suits handled an old bag in order to get lots of money...
