By now we've all heard about Naveed Haq, the "religion of peace" member firing his peace bullets at Jewish women in Seattle. We've also all heard how this Muslim, who killed one Jewish woman and injured another 5 in his anti-Jewish rampage, was a "lone gunman" and not connected to any terrorism. As I asked (in so many words) the other day, if this guy ain't a terrorist, then who the hell is!?

Michelle Malkin was equally outraged at the FBI and media's treatment of this guy, and compiled a list of other "lone gunmen" (just a small sample).

Cox and Forkum, always clever and arguably the best political cartoonists around, reveal that they're on the same page with their latest toon:

Jawa provides a terrorist checklist (presumably for clueless liberals) to determine whether or not Haq is in fact a terrorist. Particularly of interest in this week of Hezbollah and their civilian human shields is the fact that Haq muscled his way in to the building by..... wait for it....... holding a gun to a 13-year-old girl's head!

I haven't figured out how yet, but I'm sure this is all the result of Bush's tax cuts for the rich and or Bush's Iraq policy. I suggest not prosecuting this guy, but putting him in therapy so we can "understand" why he did it. Isn't that the route to take here libs? Who's with me!?

***UPDATE****
I guess this "lone gunman" crap is still not far from Malkin's mind either, as she made it the subject of today's must watch vent.

The Muslim "protestors" who claim to be upset over the Mohammad cartoons have now turned their anger on fast food, burning down a McDonald's and a KFC.... oh yeah, they killed and injured a bunch of people to. Michelle Malkin's got the story. She's got it covered pretty well, I just thought I'd try to be first with the "extra crispy" line.

Michelle is right though, where's the media... Oh that's right coming unhinged on Scott McClellan over Quailgate. Although there has been in the last few hours a sad development for the Harry Whittington, the 78 year old victim of the accident.

The 78-year-old lawyer who was shot by Vice President Dick Cheney in a hunting accident has some birdshot lodged in his heart and he had a "a minor heart attack" Tuesday morning, hospital officials said.

Pray that he gets better. Not only for him and his family, but sadly (and shockingly to me) this has become a huge political issue. I'm surprised (though I rarely am) at the viciousness of the media over this. I still think the Democratic politicians will keep their mouths shut though... Except maybe Dean. So it's sad to say, that we have to politically hope for him to pull through. Imagine the media and political fallout if the worst is to happen?

Michelle Malkin is linking to a ridiculous story of censorship in Sweden. It appears that a Swedish right-wing party had some Mohammad toons on their site, and after pressure from police and the foreign ministry, the hosting company chose to shut down the site.

Now we've all posted the "dirty dozen" Mohammad images, and they can't shut us down. But I'd like to throw up a couple RightWinged.com originals right now. The first is of what I suppose some of the whacked out Islamists might consider today's Mohammad... Osama Bin Laden. I created and posted it a few weeks ago, with the inspiration of his call for a truce in his most recent tape. I just took it in my lame photo editing program and colorized it too, so I'll be posting both versions. I'm not an "artist", but I occasionally like to sketch a little, and that's all this is, and then I scanned it in to the computer. After those two versions of that picture, is a picture of any old terrorist. It contains text so I don't need to explain it.

Anyway, no these aren't "Mohammad" so it's not the same. But I'd like to say that as "RightWinged.com" I'd like to ask them to try to shut down this "right-wing" site for my toonage. This ain't Sweden. I don't think anyone would have a problem with the Bin Laden one anyway, but I can already hear attacks from even the American left over the other one... but go ahead, censor this...

hat tip: Michelle Malkin

Alan Dershowitz is right on here. He lays out they hyporcisy and double standards as clearly as I can imagine anyone doing in this video from an interview on Danish TV. The American media and libs won't get it. They're hung up on "incitement", etc. They always excuse bad behavior with "incitement" whenever any sort of group (provided they aren't white/christian/American) chooses to riot or break the law. There is "art" that insults Christianity and Judaism all over the world on a regular basis and you don't see all of us Christians and Jews firebombing embassies and basically destroying everything in sight... Certainly not 5 months after they're published either.

By the way, I hope you caught Hannity & Colmes last night. Michelle Malkin did a great job of explaining how misplaced the outrage is over these mild images in the first place. Catch the video now, Michelle has posted it on her site. Expose The Left has the full segment.

I wonder if the libs who always excuse bad behavior based on "incitement" would do the same for abortion clinic bombers. Not only does the person have the commons sense to know that abortion is murder, but in many cases their religion plays a role in their opposition. I suppose the mass murder of millions of babies could be cause for "incitement" right lefties? You may not believe that it is "mass murder of millions of babies" as I put it... but that doesn't matter. What matters is what the person being "incited" feels, right? So I expect the next time some abortion clinic is bombed that we'll see all these people who are calling for the media not to run these cartoons because it's "provocation" and "incitement", will be out to call for a ban on abortion. K?

Not surprisingly Chirac has joined the "provocation" wagon. Way to take the ride side again bud...

Chirac: Don't come around here with that hippy wilderness art Bob Ross! That's "overt provocation" of city dwellers. You're provoking people who prefer city life to burn down and bomb anywhere your art is displayed.

In other Chirac and Luxembourg Prime Minister Jean-Claude Juncker news, are stealing a page out of the Kerry-Edwards ambiguously gay political playbook and well....

...May I have this dance?
.... may I have this.... kiss?

Actually as I'm typing this, Michelle Malkin has another post up. In this one she blasts CNN for changing their already lame excuse for not showing any of the images, to an even lamer one. She explains again how half of the images don't even show Mohammed at all, and 3 others are neutral non-negative portrayals of "the prophet".

Had some server issues, so I haven't been able to get the promised State of the Union highlight clips up yet, but they are coming shortly. Until then, check out the stories I myself and barely catching up on:

Left Wing Cartoon Goes Too Far, Joint Chiefs Write Letter to WAPO
Michelle Malkin has the cartoon and letter from the Joint Chiefs on her blog. I'd rather not post the toon myself. Just disgusting.

others blogging this: ToadPond, The Strata-Sphere, Two Babes And A Brain, Small Town Veteran, Caerdroia, CDR Salamander, BlackFive

Kerry Lies, Says that 53% of Americans Don't Graduate High School
Expose The Left has the video, So does Michelle Malkin.

Drudge Notes:

Kerry's 53% claim conflicts with a recent press release from the U.S. Census Bureau: "High School Graduation Rates Reach All-Time High"

And the Census Bureau's own website states: 85.9 Percent Of Americans Aged 20-24 Are High School Graduates. (U.S. Census Bureau Website, www.census.gov , Accessed 2/1/06)

Sounds like Kerry was the inspiration for this clip from Anchorman: Download .wav

Democrats' Response to the State of the Union by Tim Kaine: "A Better Way" Montage Video At Expose The Left
Reminds us of Kerry's constant "I have a plan" speeches leading up to the 2004 election, but without actually ever explaing that "plan". This is hilarious, you've got to watch this video.

Troops Aren't Pleased With Media Obsessing Over Reporter Hurt By IED. What About All The Other IED Incidents?
Glad to see the troops speaking out, even though this isn't anything new or surprising from the media.

Okay, I'm not a cartoonist, but I do like sketching little toons out on occasion if there is something to inspire it. Not being an "artist" I generally do this on printer paper and with a regular, grocery store bought, black pen and then I later scan the piece of paper. Threw this little sketch together earlier... hope you enjoy.

Anyway, this is how I imagine Bin Laden after his obvious recent extreme makeover, causing him to offer a truce to the United States.
