Follow-Up: Hezbollah Blame For Qana Picks Up Steam

A week ago I posted a story about a Lebanese website blaming Hezbollah for the Qana mess, but not to many picked up on it at the time. Now a few others have taken note and posted on it as well. Hopefully, if we can get enough buzz about this, someone on FNC will at least make mention of it.

The Lebanese group is claiming that Hezbollah brought a bunch of disabled children in to the Qana buildling, then set a rocket launcher on the roof. I suppose the thought is that if you're handicapped, you don't have as good of a chance of getting away, and will help up the death toll.

While we know about all the staging of the news that's been going on, these specific claims were unsubstantiated... or so I thought. Dan Riehl spotted this article in the Australian from July 31 that quotes a Lebanese MP as stating that 15 of the dead at Qana were physically or mentally handicapped. Of course this was an early article still quoting the 52 dead number, which later turned out to be 28. So, 15 out of 28 (more than half) were handicapped children.

As if further confirmation was needed, Dan Riehl has done a little digging and noticed that a lot of the dead children we see in the photos appear like they might be handicapped. Beyond that Riehl post an image from days before the Qana incident of a bunch of children lying in hospital beds, supposedly in southern Beirut. These children look eerily similar to the Qana dead.
