Many bloggers were able to attend some of the rallies in support of illegal immigrants yesterday, and have photo blogged the event. Others have video and audio of leading Democrats attending these events in support of the illegals. The following is a quick roundup.

Texas Hold 'Em Blogger provides this photo of a disgusting flag redesign

Michelle Malkin brought this to my attention in one of her posts, in which she also has audio of a bunch of Dems speaking at the day's events. Of course you expect to hear the usual insanity out of Al Sharpton, Charlie Rangel, and Chuck Schumer but I thought Hillary was a hardliner against illegal immigration? The audio of her is one of the most sickening things I've ever heard. She's practically worshipping these illegals like they are Gods. I'm actually shocked at how far she went in this little speech, particularly after she said this just a couple years ago (via NewsMax)

"I am, you know, adamantly against illegal immigrants."

She must be taking flip-flop lessons from Kerry. But again, her little speech was disgraceful, and went far beyond the usual liberal pandering for votes.

Not to be outdone, Ted Kennedy showed up in DC to worship illegal immigrants as well. Promising that they'll become citizens and calling them "the future of America". Like Hillary's speech it is a little shocking, even for Ted, how far he went, and it goes far beyond pandering. It's like he's the leader of some revolution, it's actually a little scary. "Some in Congress want to turn America away from it's true spirit."

Well of course the obvious question is: since when does Ted Kennedy decide what America's true spirit is? But more importantly, I am going to wait for an AP hit piece from Jennifer Loven on Ted Kennedy's straw-man building, similar to what she tried to pull on the President recently in a piece that was clearly opinion but marked as hard news. The blogosphere took note at the time, but that was about it. So whenever you're ready Jennifer, I'll be waiting for your "article" on Kennedy's straw-men, if you are to be taken seriously.

Ian at Expose the Left attended some of the DC events, including the Kennedy speech, and has returned with a bunch of photos for us, including this photo of a sign saying what seems to be a growing slogan for the illegals. A terrifyingly accurate slogan if the Democrats have their way.

As I said, Drudge was probably right in recommending that we don't counterprotest against these huge mobs, because you're just asking for it. It's not an excuse, and I don't ever buy the "incitement" cop out, but you know that it would be smart/safe to stay away from these angry mobs. One small group at UC Berkeley did hold a counter protest that pro-illegal protestors tried to block with.... wait for it...... A MEXICAN FLAG! Again, if you're so proud of Mexico, go back you idiots, otherwise leave the flag at home. He pro-illegal folks, is this the caliber of people you want to make citizens?

Thankfully, amid all the idiocy, there weren't many reports of violence, but there was this incident in Maine where a many holding a sign opposing illegal immigration was punched in the face by a teen wearing a bandana. Not necessarily an illegal who did it, but certainly a far left whacko who I'm willing to bed has an "anarchy" t-shirt. How often do you ever see protests from the right where a bunch of people are wearing bandans and masks, throwing molotov cocktails and bricks at businesses and police, screaming obscenities, etc? But these are the types of things we've come to expect from the left and it's treated as the norm now.

Peter at Texas Hold 'Em Blogger notes that NYC Councilman Charles "I want to slap a white man" Barron has already called for voting rights for illegals. If you aren't familiar with the racist nutcase Barron, he was a guest on the O'Reilly Factor tonight. Expose the Left has the video, in which you'll see that he (like many other race baiters) tries to compare the illegal immigration situation to the civil rights movement.
