McKinney Apologizes After Smearing Cops, Bodyguard Assaults Reporter

Well, McKinny has made the media circuit calling the Capitol Police racists, saying this is all about "racial profiling", race race race race race. And now she thinks she can apologize for the incident and we'll all forget about it?! If you did nothing wrong, and "the issue is racial profiling", Cynthia, what are you apologizing for? Certainly not for striking a police officer right, because you haven't acknowledge that there was anything wrong with that previously.

I know I'm not the cop, but I reject her apology and say she still needs to be arrested. It would be pretty sad if they let her off now that she's apologized after showing up in front of every live television camera and calling anyone and everyone a racist. No McKinney as I, Tom Delay, and many others have said you are the racist, and not only did this become evident throughout this incident, but it was obvious years ago when you said:

"I am absolutely sick and tired of having to have my appearance at the White House validated by white people,"

Anyway, check out the video of her ("oh no, I'm going to be arrested") desperation apology at Expose the Left. By the way, why does she always have a big pack of angry looking black people behind her, even when apologizing?

Interestingly, I don't know if these are in chronological order, but Expose the Left also has video of one of McKinney's bodyguards assaulting a reporter and threatening him, saying "I'll put yo ass in jail..." A real class act this bunch.

By the way, what is the deal with McKinney's repeated contention that she is one of the few black people in Congress, so they should recognize her... Wouldn't identifying her by race be something that should upset her?

Well, we'll have to wait and see, but I think it was obvious that this apology was just another way of saying "please don't lock me up", but let's hope she still does get arrested and brought up on charges. You hit a cop for doing his job lady!!! You can run around with your serial killer look to all the news shows and whine about this huge racial profiling problem all you want, and even if it were true it wouldn't matter, you hit a cop for simply asking you to follow protocol!!!

Michelle Malkin agrees that this apology was a "truly sorry sight".

If this turns out to be true, what do you think of your treasonous president?
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/04/07/AR2006040700190.html

I think "treasonous" is a bit much at this point Rob? Accusing the President of being a traitor... Setting aside the drive by libs that leave comments from time to time, I think that's a little benieth you.

First off, of course I hate the NY Times, but they have an article on this which I read earlier... at the moment I don't have time to check out that WAPO article, but I assume it's pretty much the same thing.
http://www.nytimes.com/2006/04/06/washington/06cnd-leak.html?ei=5065&en=eccc3b3c2cff0d36&ex=1144987200&partner=MYWAY&pagewanted=print

Anyway, what I gather from this Times article, is that the President legally declassified some information to support his case when it was under (dishonest) attack, but it doesn't seem that he was leaking the Plame information.. Could be just the way I'm reading it, but that doesn't seem to be what was "leaked" in the instance being discussed.

Jumping back to the whole thing though... Why wasn't Libby brought up on charges for the "leak"? Because Plame, as we know, as the author of the law has repeatedly said, wasn't covered under the law everyone is talking about. She wasn't covert, she hadn't been for years, etc. etc. etc.

At her recommendation, the CIA stupidly sent her unqualified husband on vacation to check out Uranium claims... He sat around drinking cocktails and gave a lame report that was based on what his buddy told him. Then after the President's "16 words", Wilson came out with opinion piece in the times, basically accusing the President of lying.

First, what the President said:
“The British Government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa .”

Wilson's argument was that the President was lying because Saddam never bought the stuff. But wait, the President said "sought", not "bought", so your little story is irrelevant Mr. Wilson.. .but that didn't stop the media from blowing it up in to this huge "Bush lied about Uranium" thing that STILL TO THIS DAY lingers in the minds of most Americans, and most don't have a clue what Wilson actually tried to pull.

Back to what the President said.... The Brits stand by it, and the former PM of Niger makes the same claim. Let me repeat that THE FORMER PRIME MINISTER OF NIGER says that Saddam wanted to buy Uranium from him, but he didn't want to get tied up with him and have America come down on his ass.

So first the "lie" that Wilson exposed, was bogus... then we had everyone screaming "it was based on forged documents that we all know are fake now!"... Sorry, wrong again... the forged documents were something entirely different (but don't expect the media to report that)

http://www.factcheck.org/article222.html

That said, Wilson and friends made puppets out of the American media and everyone was accusing the President of lying, and in doing so, lying themselves! Of course to retaliate, the credibility of the source needed to be attacked, no? I mean, the President usually sits by and takes the attacks, but this was too large an issue..

First off I said If it turns out to be true. And 'she wasn't covert hadnt been in years' yada yada. Then how come none of her friends neighbors or acquaintances knew she worked for the CIA?This was just about revenge plain and simple. As if someone goes to Niger on a junket.Come on that place is a real shithole, for lack of a better word.

Revenge? How stupid do you think they are? I mean yeah "Bush is dumb" that's the old joke, but seriously... Would they be stupid enough to say "her husband is undermining us... let's get her killed by revealing her name!"... That's just such a stupid thought, but I guess a lot of people do believe that Bush is pure evil, so I guess I don't know what to tell you..

The fact is I could repeat myself, but what's the point... You pose the question about her neighbors knowing... that's not any kind of smoking gun, and her friends could be lying for her... My neighbors don't know what I do and I live in an apartment... Hell, only one of my parents next door neighbors know what they do because they've lived there for almost 20 years... even the parents of kids I grew up with in my neighborhood, I'm sure, haven't a clue what my step-father does, and some know where my mom works only because a couple work there too, and she's in HR so a lot of people pass through her dept. at some point.

I have to say, in the 6 or 7 apartments I've had, I don't think any of my neighbors knew what I do, except those that I've worked with. Hell, I've lived in the same apt. complex with people I worked with and not known it for months!

But again, even if they are lying, what does that matter anyway? Her neighbors not knowing her job doesn't make her a covert operative covered by the law that people are alleging was broken. The question of her neighbors is pointless... A more important question is whether she was covered under the law.. and by all accounts she wasn't... she wasn't operating overseas within the necessary time frame, and the author of the law has repeatedly said she wasn't covered. And the most telling, as I said, is that Libby wasn't charged with that... wonder why?

Again, I don't want to be repeatative, read the previous comment... Revenge? In a way, yeah... But it was necessary revenge when the media was worshipping some Joe Wilson BS and day after day they used his lies to call the President a liar. It was necessary to stop the bleeding, though they didn't do a great job.....

But you've taken it way off topic... The point, and I just heard a woman on TV say the same thing as I get from the NY Times article... The "leak" that Bush authorized wasn't the Plame thing, it was a couple of other reports that he had every legal right to unclassify...

Man,I just wrote this well thought out response and as I sent it to be posted my computer crashed so I'm going to write it again but slightly more generically.
Bush said right after Plame was outted that 'if anyone in his administration was responsible they would no longer be a part of this administration'Well I hope he keeps to his word if it proves that it definitely came from the orders of Cheney. What do you make of rightwing hacks like Bob Novak who says 'the president definitely knows who outted her'implying that the president is feigning false indignation? Now for neighbors, wow,I have neighbors I have lived next door and under for about 4 years now and still don't know their names. But the Plame/Wilsons were supposedly very close with their neighbors. They wax poetic about each other so its not that sort of 'hey whats your name again' type of neighbor.Scooter has nothing left to lose and is seemingly coming clean.I don't see how he might be lying cause lying is a bold step that forces you to remember too many nuances and details. When a person lies it is usually to protect their friends and allies.NOT to incriminate them. The president can deauthorize anything he wants but when he looks to his left and right and wonders how this happened that leads to the conclusion that it wasn't declassified.

*not deauthorize,I meant declassify.*

Just wanted to tell you a little story~ I'm on a message board, and the topic of Cynthia McKinney came up. One of the African-American ladies on the board asked "What has McKinney done that's so racist?" I responsed by listing some of the things she's said and did (racial profiling claim, the "our sister was set up" conspiracy, even back to her anti-semite comments about a political opponent and her observation that Al Gore will only have one black person around him at a time... etc etc....) The lady on the messageboard I'm on replied she sees nothing wrong with that, and that I shouldn't think I'm an expert because I don't understand minority experience, and pretty much was accused of being racist for simply answering this lady's original question. The hypocracy of racism makes me sick.

Amy, some of them actually believe that minorities are incapable of racism/prejudice.... It's insane and impossible to grasp I know, but I've heard it repeated so many times I know that they are out there... Sadly these people each have a vote that cancels out ours.

Rob, you're still ignoring the point here, that the NIE documents the President released have nothing to do with the Plame thing, and that's the bottom line. Do you not see liberal media bias yet? The media is all reporting this in a way (obviously gave you the impression) that is totally bogus and they know it, but they are creating the public opinion they wanted.

Randy, heres a link to Joe Wilsons letter to the Senate Intelligence Commitee:

I think it paints a very through picture of the events that led up to the famous 16 words and his trip to Niger and the subsequent outting of his wife. You keep mentioning that she wasn't covert and that its no big deal but she worked for the CIA before her name was made public and then her career was flushed down the proverbial toilet and her job lost. How do you reconcile that fact?

I should take Wilson's account of what lead up to the 16 words? LOL! It's all right here http://www.factcheck.org/article222.html
