Diary Of A Mad McKinney. Cynthia McKinney's Insanity Continues...

(Been meaning to post more on these recent developments, but haven't had a chance to fully catch up. This is sort of a summary of all the McKinney madness)

I'm not sure how you could have missed the story about Cynthia McKinney punching a Capitol Police Officer who simply wanted her to identify herself or go through the metal detector. Predictably, as a black Democrat, it became a race issue and you can't turn on the TV without hearing an upcoming segment on "being in Congress while black". If some how you did miss when the story originally broke, catch up here. The following day we learned that McKinney has a history of confrontations with these officers, in addition to asserting that President Bush had prior knowlege of the 9/11 attacks, but that was my last post on the subject.

Since that last post, the level of craziness has reached levels that shouldn't surpise you, but are ridiculous by all accounts. Michelle Malkin, Expose the Left, and the Independent Conservative have kept up with it, so check out their must read posts and must watch videos now.

First Malkin tipped informed us that McKinney would be holding another press conference where she would say something "new", but it didn't include an apology. Instead she continued the "I was racially profiled" and "inappropriate touching" BS. After the event, Malkin had the rundown and linked to the video of McKinney surrounded by black supporters whining about how their "sister" was set up and everyone had a good time shuffling their deck of race cards. Surprising? No. Stupid? Absolutely.

Then Expose the Left got the video of McKinney and her lawyers on CNN with Wolf Blitzer. I actually watched this live and was pleasantly surprised that Wolf pressed them a little bit and even showed pictures of McKinney's previous and current hair styles, explaining how one might not recognize her. Her only argument was to insist that her face stayed the same, despite the fact that the pictures show how different she really looked just a couple months ago.

The best part of the interview? McKinney pulled a flip-flop that would impress John Kerry. In one breath she blames the situation on "racial profiling", then a moment later when Blitzer asks her about it, she denies saying it!!! Rush Limbaugh took note, and I actually heard playing the clips earlier today.

(excerpts of the transcript via CNN)

MCKINNEY: Well, you know, that goes to the heart of the press conference that we had today. And I want to thank you for covering the other press conference that we had on Friday with Danny Glover and Harry Belafonte.

But today we had black elected officials from the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus at the time when Coretta Scott King's body lay in state at the Georgia State Capitol. The Georgia Legislative Black Caucus was not allowed into the building to perform a part of the procession. Why? They can't even answer the question except that the security at the Georgia Capitol did not recognize them as dually- elected members able to carry out the mandate of the people who sent them to the legislature.

And as a result of police action that was -- we can't even understand why the members of the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus were disrespected -- that's what they said today -- and forced to look at the body of Coretta Scott King from the third floor of the state Capitol.

The bottom line on this is that it doesn't matter if you're in the United States Capitol or the Georgia Capitol, the issue is racial profiling.

Blitzer was up against a break just a few seconds later but jumped right back in where they left off when they came back, and within a few seconds we had this exchange:

BLITZER: We got a statement from Lou Cannon, the president of the D.C. Chapter of the Fraternal Order of Police. It was in the "Atlanta Journal-Constitution."

He says, "There was no excessive force here. If she's trying to turn this into a racial issue, people should ask, 'Why is she doing this?' This is an insult to all police officers."

This is an extremely serious charge you're making, Congresswoman.

JAMES MYART, ATTORNEY FOR CONGRESSWOMAN CYNTHIA MCKINNEY: Wolf -- Wolf, may I address that?

BLITZER: Well, let -- let's let the congresswoman respond. And then I will let you in, James.

MYART: OK.

MCKINNEY: Well, I haven't made a charge. I just asked you to do a little bit of research.

BLITZER: No, no, no, but...

MCKINNEY: And...

BLITZER: ... you were talking earlier about racial profiling, and that there was racism involved in stopping you for questioning because you weren't wearing your congressional pin.

MCKINNEY: Now, Wolf, you know I didn't say that, so, don't twist my words.

BLITZER: Well, tell us what you said.

MCKINNEY: Don't even begin to twist my words.

BLITZER: Tell us what you said.

MCKINNEY: And whatever it is that I said is already on the tape. So, you can replay the tape.

Now, I think it's probably a good time now for you to bring in my attorneys. You have had the opportunity to speak with Mr. Myart, but you haven't yet spoken with Mike Raffauf.

This would be hilarious if it weren't for the fact that this woman holds power at a national level. But that should be the end of this woman. She is concocting such an insane and dishonest racial issue here that she can't even keep her own words straight just a minute or two after they come out of her mouth!!! Seriously there is no spinning what she just did here, and she left herself no wiggle room out of it she just flat out lied about something she has just gotten done saying!

Another interesting thing to note, is that she mentions her press conference with Danny Glover and Harry Belafonte and did it in such an annoying "name dropper" way. Who is she trying to impress? These guys run around with Castro! A quick search gave me this article on one of their visits to Cuba, but there have been plenty of other visits and praising of Castro out of these two. Not to mention that Belafonte calls President Bush the number one terrorist, and has compared Colin Powell and Condi Rice to slaves. Again, why are you bragging about hanging out with these commie idiots Cynthia?

Cynthia sure loves her celebrities though. She loves them so much that she stole tax money from an office supply fund to buy tickets to fly the hypocrite Isaac Hayes to appear with her at an office dedication in Atlanta! Expose the Left provides these details from WSBTV:

Rep. Cynthia McKinney admits that she broke government rules by spending money to fly a celebrity to Atlanta.

Channel 2 Action News has uncovered documents showing McKinney, D-Ga., spent about $1,000 of taxpayer’s money to fly singer Isaac Hayes to Georgia to help dedicate a new office in Atlanta.

The money came from a fund members of Congress are supposed to use for office supplies.

Using the money to pay for Hayes’ airline ticket and hotel expenses is a violation of strict congressional rules. Those rules state that taxpayer money can only be used for “travel by Members, Members’ employees and vendors. A vendor is an employee of a private company that provides maintenance and support for equipment and software…”

First off, why is this just a violation of rules, and not criminal? Anyway, incase you weren't sure why I call Hayes a hypocrite, read up here and here on how he cashed a lot of checks making fun of everything and everyone and every religion, but the second South Park made fun of his beloved Scientology he stormed out the door.

Later Michelle Malkin and the AP covered the next twist, which is that the Capitol Hill Police are seeking an arrest warrant from the U.S. Attorney's office. And Expose the Left points out that the Democratic leadership doesn't want to touch this one, including the Nancy Pelosi, who, rumor has it, isn't even speaking to McKinney. The Congressional Black Caucus seems to be distancing itself as well.

Darnell at The Independant Conservative, who ironically enough is a black man from Georgia (the state that McKinney represents), has been all over the McKinney saga as well, noting that McKinney's spokesman Coz Carson is a racist, and that McKinney has been flip-flopping on her hairstyles again. Darnell also raises the interesting point that JC Watts never had the same problem being "In Congres While Black".

Now you should be caught up, so I can end this post and move on to a couple other quick McKinney posts in a few minutes.

How are Belafonte and Glover able to travel to Cuba legally?Last time I checked there was an embargo and it was illegal. My wife and my mother in law(Both German)have been to Cuba a couple times and have tried to get me to go but I had to explain to them that it was illegal for me to go.That was a tortured conversation.Anyways they have lots of pictures and penpals from Cuba. They even bought some Cuban lady a TV since she was so poor and I guess so nice.My mother in law was there for new years 2005 and said since they can't afford fireworks they just throw buckets of dirty water out the window on the crowd below.
I know this wasn't the thrust of your article but that jumped out at me when you mentioned it.

I don't know how they get there... maybe Castro makes an exception for prominent people in the US who praise him. You can do a little googling though and find out how much these two idiots love Castro.

As for the fireworks... all I can say is what a great man named Joe Dirt once said:

"Are you nuts dude? You need something that explodes, goes boom!" "So your gonna tell me, you don't have no black cats, roman candles or screamin' mimis? no lady fingers, fuzz buttles, snicker bombs, church burners, finger blasters, gut busters, zip-a-dee do dahs, crap flappers. You're gonna stand there, owning a firework stand and tell me you don't have no whistling bung holes, no spleen splitters, whisker biscuits, honkie latters, hoosker doos, hoosker don'ts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers with or with out the skooner stick, or one single whistling kitty chaser?"

lmao,an instant classic!

Have you seen that movie? It's actually hilarious if you watch it a couple times, despite not being that popular during it's theatric release... I also recommend Dirty Work (Norm McDonald) if you haven't seen it... Anyway, yeah that fireworks part from Joe Dirt is the best... if I feel like it later, I may try to get that clip from my DVD and post it.

Yeah I seen it a couple years back.Gotta love the mullet and cool Tshirts!Life is like a garden man,dig it!

What do you think about this war of words between Rumsfeld and Rice?

I think this is quite obviously the media trying to drive a wedge, when there really isn't an issue here.. I read the Condi "thousands" quote a few days ago and knew that the media was going to make a big deal, considering it was the headline of the article I read.

Rice probably could have said around and thought of better language to use, but whatever... She was only saying the same thing that Rumsfeld was saying that we adjust and make changes to things that are no longer working... But the media jumped on "mistakes" like she was criticizing the Pentagon's handling...

I think the whole thing is pretty stupid.....

Wait, about to finish this comment I decided to see if I could find the Condi transcript and I did
http://www.state.gov/secretary/rm/2006/63969.htm
and this makes this a perfect example of liberal media again.... Here was the question from a reporter that Condi was responding to:

QUESTION: Rosemary Hollis. I'm Director of Research at Chatham House, and not only from there but in general, myself personally, welcome this opportunity to have access to you. Now, I wonder if I could point something out and base my question on that. Whilst it is a very, very close alliance and British commitment to the United States in the last three, four years is probably without parallel, that not only means that we know we are in a sense junior partner, but we also feel that we're not always sure where you're going to lead. I wonder if you could give us some reassurance to the effect that some lessons have been learned from some of the mistakes made over the last three years which will be used to judge situations going forward.

WAPO doesn't make it clear that she was answering a question, rather than giving a statement.

and she had a lengthy response that ended in:

So my point to you is that yes, I know we've made tactical errors -- thousands of them, I'm sure. This could have gone that way or that could have gone that way. But when you look back in history, what will be judged is did you make the right strategic decisions. And if you spend all of your time trying to judge this tactical issue or that tactical issue, I think you miss the larger sweep.

Now, absolutely we think all the time about what can be done better, what needs to be adjusted. But I think I just think of it a little bit differently than trying now to catalogue every "mistake" and react to it.

Notice the difference when you don't have WAPO taking things out of context? Again, she's not attacking military strategy, she's just saying in different words what Rummy is saying... as the situation changes, you change tactics... she calls it mistakes which may have not been the right language, but it was how the question was asked too...

NOONE IN THE US GOVERNMENT IS GOING TO FALSELY ARREST ME IN MY PARENTS WHITE HOUSE AND GET AWAY WITH IT. [cf. $30 million RICO lawsuit.]

Noone is going to bully there way into the President Bush's Whitehouse either.

The JC Watts agenda will NEVER WORK unless my testimony is published on this matter, either that or I am given a public exoneration of my name and good works.

Although Ms. McKinney made some biting comments about Sherriff Harry Lee's handling after and during the Katrina storm, she should instead focus on the rampant pedophelia and documented international child abduction taking place in Atlanta as we speak.

If you want righteous leadership and you believe in the true mantle of Jesus Christ on this nation, no black light will EVER succeed in its aspirations to Advance the Kingdom.

Anyone have any idea what this guy is talking about?

But shes not saying the same thing as Rummy cause we all know hes saying nothing is going wrong there. Its exactly as they perceived it in the playbook.I don't buy that she could possibly be coaxed into using the term 'thousand of mistakes' when she really meant 'changing our tactics'but atleast,to her credit, she says they are changing 'tactics' since you only change those when the original wasn't working out so great.Einstein defined insanity as doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
and as for Stefan,I'm assembling a team of linguists and behavioral psychologists to work on it Randy.

well of course there are mistakes, but I don't think it's smart policy for Rumsfeld to come out and say it in those words... I don't know but it just sounds like a whole bunch of nothing to me, and that the media wants to make it seem like the Condi and Rummy are at odds.... Again, note the question that Condi was responding to. I think Condis comments could be easily explained by the fact that we know there are thousands of mistakes in every war.. but we're not talking about the war BEING a mistake itself... Hindsight is 20/20 and these "mistakes" as she put it, are mainly things like "had we known the bad guys were at this place, we wouldn't have raided that one"... "we bombed that cafe on intelligence that Saddam was there, but he wasn't".. I mean to say thousands, she would obviously mean things like that, because the "tactics" (big picture) have pretty much stayed the same.. there hasn't been "thousands" of plans that have been mistakes... but there are, I'm sure, thousands of instances when looking back we would say "yeah, that would have gone better if we'd done...." or "too bad we didn't know about.... or we could have.... instead". I just read it as people trying to make something out of nothing... but that's me
