Talk about invasion, since when can illegals basically take over a city in such massive numbers that law enforcement is left helpless? I'm sure plenty of these people were legal, but we do know that there are about 10-12 milion illegals in the country, and I'm sure this group contained a decent chunk of them. I can't blame the local authorities for not arresting and deporting them because for one they were vastly outnumbered, and two they don't have the jurisdiction and ability to do it.

At the end of the day, organizers say it was more than half a million protesters. Police estimated the crowd at 300,000.

Seriously though, setting aside the illegals in the bunch, where are these people's priorities? And if the crowd was mostly illegals, the term "invasion" has never been more true.

Mayor Daley was on hand to make add his two nonsense, as documented here by CBS 2 (also seen in video):

Mayor Richard M. Daley said: “This is a fight that includes every American. Those who are here undocumented, we're not going to make criminals out of them. That is not what America has ever stood for and will not stand for.”

Um, the fact that they are undocumented (read: illegal) already makes them criminals, so that is about as boneheaded a comment as a person could possibly make.
