Just saw a Fox News alert (but no stories posted on the internet yet), that kidnapped journalist Jill Carroll has finally been released... This comes just a day after her sister went on Arab TV station Al Arabiya to plead for her release.

Can't believe Drudge hasn't reported this yet?

UPDATE

By now I'm sure you've heard that Carroll says that her captures treated her well (AP), and by all accounts she seems okay. But that does seem to be a big difference from the video of her bawling, begging, pleading for her release, the last time we saw her. Who knows what really happened, but it's a weird contrast if nothing else.

Comments

For some reason I have found the story of Jill Carroll to be "fishy" to say the least. From the very beginning I have had the impression that Jill was nothing more than a Muslim sympathizer. Her crying spell and pleading for her life looked fake to me. To me, as someone who spent a quarter of a century living among Muslims, she acts like the typical convert to Islam in her dress and mannerism. I shall feel very ashamed if I am proved to be wrong.
