By now I assume you've all heard about the suspected terrorists that were indicted in Toledo, Ohio.

TOLEDO -- A federal grand jury has indicted three Toledo-area men for terrorist activities. Prosecutors say the three conspired to wage a "holy war" against the United States and coalition forces in the Middle East. The indictment was unsealed Monday.

Attorney General Alberto Gonzales says it was work by the F.B.I. and the Toledo Joint Terrorism Task Force that led to the indictments.

According to the indictment, the suspects are Mohammad Zaki Amawi, Marwan Othman El-Hindi, and Wassim Mazloum. The indictment says all three were living in the Toledo area. Amawi is a citizen of the US and also a citizen of Jordan. El-Hindi is a naturalized American citizen who was born in Jordan. Mazloum is a legal permanent resident of the US, who came here from Lebanon.

This is one of those stories the MSM hates because it shows that we are actively fighting terrorism within our borders. Off the top of my head, I can vaguely remember a handful of similar stories over the past few years that make a few headlines but then are burried, but I'm sure there are plenty more. I had even forgotten about the Lodi "suspected" terrorists until I heard last week that the trial was beginning for one of them. Anyone remember the Lackawana/Buffalo Six? How about the guys who were plotting to bomb a NY City subway station? Update here. What about these NY City terror suspects. There are updates in the news on most of these guys if you are looking, but don't expect them to be headlines in your paper or on TV.

Those were just a couple of stories I thought of off the top of my head and did some quick searches on. But there are plenty more out there, so don't let the media pull the old Michael Moore "there is no terrorist threat" crap on you. There have been countless terror arrests on our soil that are and have worked their way through our system, above the radar, despite lack of media coverage. I think we can safely assume there are way more going on below the radar as well.

Here's my question folks: When will Al Gore be flying to Lebanon and Jordan (the home countries of these men) to say that George Bush has "indiscriminately rounded them up" and held them in "unforgivable" conditions, and "Unfortunately there have been terrible abuses." Come on Gore, it's been a few days since you went out of your way to hurt your country in a time of war. Perhaps he could bring Senator Rockefeller over with him to provide intelligence to our enemies as he admits (unashamed) that he did prior to the Iraq war.

What about over here Cafferty? Don't you feel like an idiot having said that yesterday, and today's big story is we've arrested guys on our soil who were plotting to attack our troops in Iraq!? Isn't it great when things come together like that.

Cafferty goes on to rant about the "port deal"... I don't quite no what to make of it yet. Of course it isn't smart to have some Arab company controlling something like that, but as I understand it, there isn't anything making this particularly more dangerous than the current situation. I'll have to hear more about the deal, but I'm not quite sure what to think yet. Is there a way to get an American company to take over these ports instead?

Anyway, back to what Michelle Malkin calls "Jihad in Ohio". Unlike many of the other arrests on United States soil, these guys seemed to be plotting to go over to Iraq to attack Americans, but that doesn't take away from the fact that we are continuing to catch terrorists in this country. So while the "we haven't been attacked since 9/11" can usually be dismissed by liberals with "how long was it before 9/11" and "they could be patiently planning", the facts show that it's no coincidence that we haven't been attacked and that we constantly round up the bad guys. I suspect even worse bad guys, with deeper ties have been captured without letting the public know for intelligence purposes, etc.
