But back to me "stooping low"... In what way? The fact that I'm mocking a black stereotype, after Gumbel comes out saying that because the winter olympics are so white that it looks like a GOP convention! He was actually supporting a stereotype that is demonstrably beyond ridiculous. If you read my original post you'd have understood that. Is the state where I was born and raised, Vermont, a GOP convention considering it is 96.8% white. No, it's one of the most liberal places in the country! What about Canada! What about most of Europe!

I really don't want to repeat my original post on the Gumbel story, but it only makes sense that the winter olylmpics would be white anyway considering the racial make-up of the states in which the winter events are popular. Skiing, curling, hockey, and ice skating are very popular in New Orleans or DC, last I checked. Then look most of the countries in the Winter Games populations... are they very black nations? Do you see a lot of black guys running around China, Russia, or Canada?

All that isn't even the point, but it is necessary for anyone who actually finds a problem with the fact that it's mostly white people in the Winter Games. But the opposite can be said for the Summer Games.

The real issue though is Gumbel making a racist and stupid statement that because it's so white, it's like a GOP convention. It wasn't like funny commentary, he was saying this in an effort to denegrate the games... did you watch the video? I'm guessing not. You may not believe it, but black people can be racist too, and his statement is the perfect example of racist rhetoric, not to mention stupidity.

So what does it have to do with anything? Well Gumbel made racist remarks about white people by pushing a ridiculously false stereotype that he pulled out of no where. Who looks at a bunch of hockey players and says "I'm not watching this, it's like a GOP convention out there".... While at the same time being married to a white woman who he was committing adultry with while married to his black wife. Isn't his wife just another GOPer?

Anyway, next time you want to comment, perhaps you ought to read the entire post, in addition to posts that will give you the background story, and watch the video for yourself. I'm mocking Gumbel with a false black stereotype the exact way he did, only with what I believe are hilariou photoshops. I'm not "the man" trying to hold him down, so relax.

But you mock Gumbel with a false stereotype, but what did he say that was false exactly? For one thing, isn't a person allowed to pretty much say what they want when they are doing it in the context of a "commentary"? He simply said that him personally, because of his thinking that the events in said Olympics aren't "sports", and the fact that he has no reason to watch because not many people who look like him are participating he has no desire to watch. What's wrong with that exactly?

Hell, when a talented white NBA player is out there, some insiders openly admit that it's good for the game because it gives their top demographic a player that resembles them. I mean, as much as you guy try to usher African Americans in, can we be honest for a minute and admit that a GOP convention is mainly white?? Plus, as a reporter, I know he has covered many GOP conventions to know. So again, pointing out that he is with a white woman, and putting fake platinum teeth on him is a bit lazy and predictable, it also doesn't even come anywhere close to counter point.

Go back and read the original post for background.... The basic question is: What if Bill O'Reilly said he didn't want to watch the NBA game because it was so black it looked like the Compton Swap Meet?

You can be dishonest all day long and say that's apples and oranges but it's not. You saying that a GOP convention is mostly white doesn't matter. He is saying that a large white group looks like a GOP convention. Okay, then why didn't he say that the Winter Olympics remind him of the DNC Convention? Would you not agree that it was extremely white? Why didn't he say the Winter Games look like the state of Vermont?

How does it not come close to a counter point? Gumbel made a statement using a false stereotype that all white people are Republicans, and not only that, he did so as a way to denegrate people. I counter with another false stereotype about the image of black Americans... It's a perfect counter point.

I don't expect you to grasp any of that because you're clearly a delusional liberal, judging by your last comment even more than your first. It's really not complicated, but I understand that you're so blinded by your ideology you'll never get it.
