UPDATE
If anyone saw this post earlier and was confused, I stupidly said "6.5 million" in both the title and headline. I'm not sure how I could have done this since I was being careful not to, but I did... hope there was no confusion

Obviously only an estimate, but today the world's population was set to hit the 6.5 billion person level.

UNFPA, the UN Population Fund is undoubtedly very displeased that their plan isn't working. They believe that we must reduce the world's population in order to survive... Difficult to find the exact statements because they do a good job of hiding it, but do some searches on "unfpa" and "population reduction" and you'll enter a world you may not know existed. Basically from what I've been able to gather thus far, under the guise of "family planning" (similar to Planned Parenthood's "women's health") UNFPA and other groups are showing up in third world countries with "kits" and passing out abortion inducing pills and personal "suction" devices to native people and such and basically coercing them in to aborting their unborn children. More above the radar they've been known to be complicate in forced abortions in China, to the point where the US withheld funds from the group.

I would like to, in the future, go in to more about this... But there is some scary stuff going on under our noses. A lot of far far far left groups that are actually involved with more mainstream groups are preaching that a wolrd population of under 1 billion is our only hope, though they generally stop short of explaining how to achieve this goal. UNFPA seems to be the mainstream leader of the movement, though they are clearly failing. I don't like to be too tin-foil hatish here, but it does make you wonder about AIDS, huh? We're all familiar with eugenics, no? We all know the founder of Planned Parenthod was a big fan.

Again, you all can call this tin-foil hat stuff, but I suggest doing a little research on your own if you are interested in finding out the truth. Like I said, I plan to post on all of this at some point in the near future, but it will take a measure of research, and I know some UN web pages that I was linked to in past years with population reduction related comments have been removed. There were a number of pages linking to various documents and pages on the web with actual quotes from UFNPA people speaking about the need to reduce the population.

By the way, the fact that the world is not even close to being overpopulated is a whole different story, but an important one as kids continue to be brainwashed with all the UN propaganda about whatever the "world issue" (i.e. Global Warming, etc.)

As I said, many pages have been removed to hide some of the open population reduction comments, but you can read a lot of the UN and UNFPA's own materials with the proper frame of mind and see exactly what all of their "family planning" and "human impact on the planet" stuff is all really about.
