The other day I documented some of the crazy comments coming out of lefties at KOS regarding the Harry Whittington. Many of them believed that he was already dead. So is this going to be a "Weekend At Bernies" sort of thing today?

KWTX Is Reporting that Whittington Will Actually Be Released From the Hospital Today..

Harry Whittington, 78, the Austin attorney whom Vice President Dick Cheney accidentally peppered with birdshot, will reportedly be released from the hospital Friday.

Whittington has been in the Corpus Christi hospital since the accident Saturday on a ranch in South Texas.

CNN reported Friday morning that Whittington will make a statement to reporters as he leaves the hospital, but will not answer questions.

He will return directly to Austin, CNN reported.

Doctors earlier said they expected Whittington, who suffered a mild heart attack earlier this week when a pellet traveled to his heart, to remain in the hospital for several more days.

Cheney, meanwhile, was in Wyoming Friday to deliver a scheduled speech.

Cheney left Washington after Texas authorities closed the book on the shooting.

President Bush says Cheney has handled the situation "just fine" and critics are drawing "the wrong conclusion about a tragic accident."

Cheney has accepted full blame and has defended the decision to delay public disclosure of the shooting for almost a full day.

Fox News is reporting that Harry Whittington, the guy shot by Vice President Cheney in a hunting accident last weekend, will be making a statement at 1:00 PM ET.
