What a nut this guy is. He's always got something stupid to say though doesn't he? I knew nothing about this guy just a few years ago, other than if I heard his name I would probably have been like "oh yeah, he's some singer from before my time." But that would have literally been about it. Then I heard a few years ago that he called Colin Powell and Condi "house slaves." Some of the talking heads on FNC talked about it, brought up his support of Castro, etc. and that was about it.

His name popped up again in early August of last year, at an Atlanta rally for the 40th anniversary of the signing of the Voting Rights Act. There were actually dozens of documented insane quotes documented from the nutty lefties in attendance, but particularly ridiculous was him calling Condi and Colin "black tyrants". Again, there were brief mentions, and he disappeared. Thanks Michelle Malkin for the reminder on that one also. I remember being shocked at the volume of unbelievable (actually all too believable) comments from the folks who were there that day, but now I have a good reference from CNS News.

Anyway, back to the subject... Belafonte, possibly angry that he hasn't been in the spotlight as much as he'd like to be, took it up a notch and called Dubya the "Greatest terrorist in the World."

Here he goes, via Fox News:

"No matter what the greatest tyrant in the world, the greatest terrorist in the world, George W. Bush says, we're here to tell you: Not hundreds, not thousands, but millions of the American people … support your revolution," Belafonte told Chavez during the broadcast.

So, what does he hope to accomplish anyway? Seriously, I'm asking. I mean I know the left is full of nutty comments they launch out on a daily basis... but sometimes I just wonder when it's a nobody like him, what he hopes to achieve? Anyway Harry, it's a sad day when you can make the Hollywood left look like Rush Limbaugh.

4 the Little Guy remembers (something I don't think I knew before) that Belafonte was named one of the AARP's "Persons of the Year" (not surprising though from the AARP, but that's another post on another day.)
