Election Day Tire Slashers Face Felony Vandalism Charges

Does anyone remember this story? Unless you're a blog reader, you probably didn't hear much if anything about it.

Basically these 5 guys "allegedly" slashed the tires of about 20 vans rented by the GOP for getting out the vote, on election day 2004 in Milwaukee. Worse yet, one of the men is the son of Democratic Congresswoman Gwen Moore, and another is the son of Mayor Marvin Pratt.

The interesting thing is the "voter supression" and "voter fraud" folks aren't screaming about this. Oh that's right, because this affected Republicans and was "allegedly" committed by Dems. Reminds me of the lack of coverage of Sandy Berger's stocking stuffers.

Anyway, they are apparently headed for trial now.

I think we all agree that even more annoying than the original crime here though, is the hypocrisy. Seriously, where is the coverage of this? Everytime a Dem wants to scream "fraud" and "supression", it always makes news... but a real story with evidence and arrests some how just doesn't cut it huh?
