5 More Cases of Bird Flu in Turkey (0 Cases of Turkey Flu in Bird)

I've ben skeptical about "bird flu" from the beginning. What I mean is I haven't been (and am still not) convinced of the "threat", and I don't want to be a conspiracy theorist here, but I think this thing was concocted for one of a number of possible reasons... even if it were just something like the media needed something to hype. (i.e. SARS, etc.)

Anyway, notice how it seemed to die off for almost a month? For months it was almost every day we'd hear about how it was spreading through Europe and Asia, and we were all just waiting for it to start mutate to a "human to human" form. Then there was a bit of a lull through the celebration of the winter solstice Christmas season. But this week it's been making a come back (the "story" has anyway.)

Here's the AP via Yahoo! News

DOGUBAYAZIT, Turkey - Preliminary tests showed five more people have been infected with the deadly H5N1 strain of the bird flu virus in Turkey, a Health Ministry official said Monday. The new results raise the number of human cases in Turkey to 15. Not all have been confirmed yet by the World Health Organization.

Anyway, as I said, I'm not sure this "bird flu" is really anything to talk about at this point... But it did give me the opportunity to show you these shirts I designed a while back (I have a couple other styles, that I haven't uploaded too):
