Okay, it's no surprise that Hollywood is overwhelmingly liberal, including late night talk show hosts. Conan O'Brien is no exception, but he can still be hilarious. I particularly love when he has a bit about a (fake) upcoming made for TV movie about whatever the big political news story is at the moment. The bit basically goes: he announces the upcoming made for TV movie, and that he was able to obtain the secret cast list that he then shares with us.

Obviously the big story this week is the Alito hearings, and Conan didn't fail to deliver the goods. Hilarious. Download the video below.

***UPDATE***
A newer Fox News poll totally contradicts the AP poll

According to this story, a new AP-Ipsos poll shows that 56% of Americans want the court to okay wiretapping of converstations that take place between people in this country and suspected terrorists overseas, compared with 42% who don't think the court order is necessary.

Another poll out today, this one by RightWinged.com, some 56% of Americans are either idiots, misinformed, dishonest, or had their answers manipulated by a poll with shady questioning methods. The MSM has a long history of asking poll questions (of their already uninformed pool) to get a desired result. (Those two links were just from one quick search)

Anyway, I have a hunch that the result is due to the public not being fully informed on the topic more than the other options in this case. Seriously, do they think Bush just wants to listen to people's private conversations for fun or something, why are they so concerned about the phone rights of suspected terrorist? Really this is just a non-issue turned in to a political issue for the Dems, with the help of the media who we all know has trouble reporting the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

LiveScience.com seems to have gotten a little ahead of themselves in an article out yesterday that is quickly spreading all over the web.

Scientists have apparently discovered and explained how bees fly, so Live Science took it upon themselves to create the myth that Intelligent Design advocates claimed that science couldn't do this. But not only does the LiveScience not provide a quote from any known Creationist or Intelligent Design supporter saying anything like that, they don't provide one shred of evidence of that being anyone's position. They just simply build the whole article around knocking down their own strawman, without being held accountable to prove it. They don't even provide a single comment from those they chose to rail against.

Creation - Evolution Headlines (a recommended daily reader) exposes, in detail, what LiveScience tried to pull.

Interesting excerpt from the LiveScience article:

The scientists said the findings could lead to a model for designing aircraft that could hover in place and carry loads for many purposes...

Why is that necessary? Just wait for that type of aircraft to evolve... right? (/sarcasm)

This also reminded me of another post by Creation - Evolution Headlines from February of last year, explaining the navigation of honeybees, based on this article from the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences

Scientists discovered that scout honeybees do a "waggle dance" that dishes out information about the "direction to the food relative to the sun, the distance, and the food quality."

I say: Evolve That!

Of course this is just one of many millions of examples of "How could they evolve by chance something so necessary to their existence? Wouldn't they need it to be already in place." (Read up on Dolphins, Bats, Narwhales, Butterflies... anything really, for many more similar examples.

The bottom line is that no one explained evolution here. No one even tried! They simply said that because they can explain the way bees fly, they have dealt some blow to ID... how exactly? I bet science can explain how a plane engine works, right? But does that suddenly mean that it evolved?

Creation - Evolution Headlines links to hundreds of similar stories from all the leading science publications. Often they are articles that go in to detail about the complexity and design of the most microscopic of building blocks of life, don't attempt to explain how such complexity could evolve, but call it a victory for Darwin.

As I said, make it a daily read, but manually set up your bookmark link with this URL: http://creationsafaris.com/crevnews.htm , because it redicrects you to the most recent area when you follow it.
