Wow! This could be big. The Weekly Standard has an explosive story on Saddam Hussein's Terror Training Camps. Here's the opening paragraph to wet your appetite:

THE FORMER IRAQI REGIME OF Saddam Hussein trained thousands of radical Islamic terrorists from the region at camps in Iraq over the four years immediately preceding the U.S. invasion, according to documents and photographs recovered by the U.S. military in postwar Iraq. The existence and character of these documents has been confirmed to THE WEEKLY STANDARD by eleven U.S. government officials.

This will make a nice addition to my "Slap libs with..." section near the bottom of my right side bar, which also has these other links you might be interested in, if you've never read them:

Anyway, I can't talk much about this at the moment because I'm already running on empty and as I mentioned in the last post, I need some sleep... But I can link you to a couple blogs already covering this very well.

Rick Moran at Rightwing Nuthouse cracked me up with the sarcasm he used to introduce the story.

Of course, Michelle Malkin is all over it too. She has some interesting Kennedy and Kerry quotes that I won't expect the media to ask them about in light of these new findings.

“Iraq was not a breeding ground for terrorism. Our invasion has made it one.”
--Sen. Ted Kennedy
"Iraq was not a terrorist haven before the invasion."
--Sen. John Kerry

And like Michelle I won't hold my breath for the MSM to make this a front pager. I suspect a few outlets will mention it in passing, and that's about it.

Hopefully I'll have some updates when I wake up...

***UPDATE*** New Post builds on this one: UPDATE: Why weren't Kerry and Bin Laden a "duo"?

Obviously Pat Robertson could have chosen a better way to say what he was saying about Sharon's recent health issues... We've all heard it talked to death, but everyone should at least watch/listen to what Robertson said for themselves. The Political Teen has the video. He probably shouldn't have been commenting on it in this way at all, but the media has really been blowing this thing up... mainly because they know he's a known Republican supporter and they think this will somehow hurt the party.

Anyway, Robertson is a believer in acts of God and he only puts forth that it's odd that this happens to Sharon now, considering what he has recently overseen in Israel... Robertson even throws in a reference to the assassination of former PM Yitzhak Rabin. Again, the comments were probably out of place, and obviously not very tactful... but any clear thinking person can see that it hardly rises to the level of what was said by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

The other day Ahmadinejad said:

Hopefully, the news that the criminal of Sabra and Chatilla has joined his ancestors is final

Now seriously, if you've watched the video and heard Robertson's statements, you would have to agree they are nothing close to Ahmadinejad's words. But let's see how the MSM feels...

Okay, I wouldn't expect too much from a Washington Post editorial. So I can almost let this one slide:
Robertson{heart}Ahmadinejad, if it weren't for the fact that they chose to link to it from their home page under the headline: Robertson loves Ahmadinejad. Still, it's labeled an editorial, so we'll cut them some slack.

But wait... I then find another WAPO article, this one by Alan Cooperman, over at The Seattle Times site entitled: Duo says Sharon's illness is deserved. Wow! I hadn't realized that simply saying two totally different things on two totally different levels suddenly made them a "duo". And I certainly didn't hear Robertson say Sharon "deserved" anything, come on! I know the libs will have fun trying to spin this one, but calling them a "duo"? I suppose we can call Howard Dean and Baghdad Bob are a duo? I suppose Bin Laden and Kerry are a duo? How about the Democratic Party and Al Qaeda? I mean, how many times have those "duos" actually said things that were virtually identical?

Here's another one... This actually appears to be a slight variation on that last one, but I found it at the Salt Lake Tribune, entitled: Robertson, Iran's president say Sharon's illness deserved

Again, this post isn't in support of Robertson's statements... but I think it's clear that the Washington Post (and plenty of others, just do some of your own searches) went a little overboard with all the "shared feelings" "duo" said Sharon "deserved" bologna.

In closing, here's a quick image for you of some partial screen shots I took of these articles in the order I mentioned them:

(Disclaimer: THIS IS A JOKE, incase any libs want to come accuse me of lying or something)

It seems ranking Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, Pat Leahy from Vermont, has really gotten desperate. After losing their "star witness" who was going to aide the Dems in painting Alito as a racist and a sexist, Leahy was out of ideas. All he had left was his trusty TIME DELAY FART MACHINE. Here we can see him sneaking in to set it up under Alito's chair, in preparation for next week's hearings, in this still image from a security footage taken after hours Friday evening.

Well, I'm not sure what happened, but the "bombshell witness" I mentioned earlier , that the Dems were lining up to take down Alito, will no longer be testifying.

I should have caught this earlier, but luckily Captain Ed caught it, allowing me to throw this update up for you. He's got the whole wrap up on it, so I'll let you check it out there.

The only thing I'd like to add is a question.... What will they do now? This loud angry bunch of Dems has never let something like this get in the way of their ranting and raving. I suspect we'll see enough Unhinged behavior for Michelle Malkin to fill another book. Sure Alito may mop the floor with them like Roberts did, but you can bet we'll see some real nutcasery out of desperation.

And if losing that witness wasn't enough to send these folks off the deep end, perhaps Alito's colleagues coming to his side will... Again, Captain Ed is all over it.

Predictions? Like I asked in the first post: Please post your predictions. Will we seem Dems yell? Cry? Throw things? Wear white t-shirts with fake blood on them and chant a crazy chant, like that crazy woman I'm sure we've all seen the clip of.

I don't think it's any secret that Howard Dean has a few screws loose, and he seems to constantly top himself when it comes to thinking of ridiculous things to say... But why is it, whenever we want to slap a liberal in the comment box with a Dean quote and say "This is your party chairman!?", we can't ever find the exact quote. We know basically what he said, but because it's always so unbelievable, we need to provide the exact quote and a reliable source to keep our credibility. I'm here to help. If you hadn't already found the link in the left side bar, I bring you.....

The Dean's List

Like our favorite "Dems on WMDs" lists, I hope this will be a resource for those who seek to ridicule the Democratic Party Chairman at every possible opportunity. Please do your part in mocking the former Governor of my former home state of Vermont (where I was born and raised), every chance you get.

Rest assured that this list is never complete. I am actually sure that I've forgotten a few and I'd appreciate any tips, as well as anything in the future I might miss. I may expand this at some point in the future to include "actions", like when he blocked media from a debate a while back, etc.

Actually... you know what's weird? Has anyone heard from this guy since shortly after the "We can't win" fiasco (which by the way is include in The Dean's List)? I remember after he went overboard in his first couple months on the job they slapped him around a bit and told him to shut his mouth... but I wonder how bad he got it this time? I mean Dems were running from his comments left and ri... well, left anyway. But they were scared and out with all this "he doesn't speak for the party" stuff (quick reminder: he's the party chairman). Anyway, I hope he turns up to feed The List.

In addition to The Dean's List, I'd like to give a shout out to some of my favorite resource "lists" out there and mention that their links can always be found in the lower part of my right side bar.

Dems on WMDs
Kerry on WMDs 1990-2003
The Iraq / Al Qaeda Connections
59 Deceits of Fahrenheit 911

If you don't have those bookmarked already, do it now... or you can always find them along with many more in my "Smack Libs with..." section in the lower part of the right side bar.

Drudge has uncovered plans for the latest attack on SCOTUS nominee Alito, by the always vicious and angry Dems.

Just listen to the tone of this statement from a Democrat Capitol Hill staffer:

“Put a fork in Scalito. It doesn’t matter that Alito didn’t write it, it doesn’t matter that Alito wasn’t that active in the group, Foote wrote it in CAP’s magazine and we are going to make Alito own it.”

Apparently the Dems plan to "finish off" Alito, by implying he's a racist and a sexist for being part of this CAP group at Princeton. It just seems like the latest desperation move by the Party of No to try to knock down anyone Bush puts up. They remind me of kids who protest because they don't like their babysitter. Is it just me, or does it seem like the only thing the Dems show up to work for these days is to oppose anything to do with the President?

Seriously, what is with the Democratic Party in the past few years? Anyway, that's another story, but the bottom line is these jokers need to give up these "scandals" they and their media try to create on an almost daily basis, and try to win some elections... and not by hoping that the Republicans numbers are just so bad that they win by default, but by actually winning because people actually support them.

Anyway, back to the attack on Alito. I'm not sure, but I have a hunch it won't be the "bombshell" they are hoping and I think the public is about fed up with all the delays at this point. We need these elected officials to get something done, not looking for cable news channel microphones to trash talk the President and his nominees.

Back to Drudge's findings quickly, he uncovered that the "star witness" is to be a freelance journalist named Stephen Dujack. It has been uncovered some interesting this about Mr. Dujack. It appears that he donated to the John Kerry campaign, is such a far left radical that in 2003 he compared slaughtered chickens to Holocaust victims:

“Like the victims of the Holocaust, animals are rounded up, trucked hundreds of miles to the kill floor and slaughtered. To those who defend the modern-day Holocaust on animals by saying that animals are slaughtered for food and give us sustenance, I ask: if the victims of the Holocaust had been eaten, would that have justified the abuse and murder?”

Anyway, read the Drudge's entire story and make up your own mind and your guess is as good as mine how this will all play out.

The Anchoress says "This is just sickening", and I think that properloy sums it up...

Stop the ACLU feels the same way and think we're about to see a real battle:

If this report is true, the democrats are showing just how low they will go. Hang on tight folks, its gonna be a rough ride from here on out.

I assume everyone else, while sharing the same outrage at the Demorats (typo?), isn't shocked by this. I mean have you been watching this bunch of shameful people for the past couple years... I was almost stupid enough to think they might settle down after the 2004 election, but they've only gotten worse!

Leave a comment with your prediction on the Alito confirmation proceedings. Will he get in or not? What sort of antics should we expect from the angry Dems?
